Portland EPrix
The Portland ePrix (known as the Southwire Portland ePrix then Hankook Portland ePrix for sponsorship reasons) was an annual race of the FIA Formula E World Championship, an all-electric single-seater racing series. The race was held on a very slightly modified version of the Portland International Raceway (PIR) for the first time in 2023, and again in 2024. Nick Cassidy won the inaugural race for Envision Racing, while António Félix da Costa and Porsche Formula E Team, Porsche swept both races the following year. History After construction in the Red Hook area of Brooklyn caused the New York City ePrix to be taken off the calendar for 2023, Formula E signed a deal with the City of Portland and PIR in order to keep the American interest in Formula E alive over the stop-gap period in New York. Portland International Raceway
Portland International Raceway (PIR) is a motorsport facility in Portland in the U.S. state of Oregon. It is part of the Delta Park complex on the former site of Vanport, just south of the Columbia River. It lies west of the Delta Park/Vanport light rail station and less than a mile west of Interstate 5. The track hosts the IndyCar Series, ICSCC and SCCA and OMRRA road racing, the NASCAR Xfinity Series and ARCA Menards Series West, and SCCA autocross events. Additionally, the PIR grounds are host to OBRA (Oregon Bicycle Racing Association) bicycling races on the track and the surrounding grounds. The facility includes a dragstrip and a motocross track. 2015 Long Beach EPrix
The 2015 Long Beach ePrix was a Formula E motor race held on April 4, 2015 in Long Beach, United States on a revised version of a street circuit usually used for the Grand Prix of Long Beach. It was the sixth championship race of the single-seater, electrically powered racing car series' inaugural season. China Racing driver Nelson Piquet Jr. became the sixth different winner in as many races, and as a result moved up to second place in the drivers' championship, one point in arrears of Audi Sport ABT's Lucas di Grassi. Di Grassi also finished in the podium placings, in third place, just behind Andretti driver Jean-Éric Vergne. Jake John Hughes (born 30 May 1994) is a British people, British racing driver who currently competes in Formula E with Maserati MSG Racing and is also the simulator driver for the McLaren, McLaren F1 Team.
