Phablets
A phablet (, ) is a mobile device combining or straddling the size formats of smartphones and Tablet computer, tablets. The word is a blend word of ''phone'' and ''tablet''. The term was largely unused by the late 2010s, since average phone sizes eventually morphed into small tablet sizes, up to , with wider aspect ratios. Appearance Phablets feature large displays that complement screen-intensive activity such as mobile web, web browsing, mobile game, video gaming, and multimedia viewing. They may also include software optimized for an integral self-storing Stylus (computing), stylus to facilitate sketching, note-taking, drawing and annotation. The Dell Streak 5 (previously known as the Dell Mini 5) is a smartphone/tablet computer, tablet hybrid ("phablet") from Dell that uses the Android (operating system), Android operating system, released in 2010. It comes with a capacitive touchscreen and two cameras, a 5Megapixel, MP one with dual-LED flash on the back and a VGA-Display resolution, resolution one on the front for video calling; both are capable of video. The three buttons at the bottom (or right, when held in its normal Page orientation, landscape mode) are capacitive. The Android buttons used are Home, Menu, and Back. The LG V50 ThinQ, commonly referred to as the LG V50, is an Android phablet smartphone manufactured by LG Electronics as part of the LG V series. It was announced in February 2019 and is the successor to the LG V40 ThinQ. Specifications Design and Hardware The V50 is largely identical to the V40 externally, albeit with a flush rear camera similarly to the LG G8 and a 5G logo above which lights up in different colors depending on the carrier. The Verizon Hub was a media phone available from Verizon Wireless. It featured a seven-inch LCD screen with 16-bit color. The hub was able to sync the user's calendar, contact details, maps, traffic, and weather reports. The Verizon Hub did not require the owner to have Verizon Fios, and connected to a wireless network. It featured a wireless handset and speakerphone. The hub also allowed users to send text and photo messages, but only to other Verizon Wireless phones. The Nokia N810 Internet tablet is an Internet appliance from Nokia, announced on 17 October 2007 at the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco. Despite Nokia's strong association with cellular products, the N810, like preceding tablets produced by Nokia, was not a phone, but instead allowed the user to browse the Internet and communicate using Wi-Fi networks or with a mobile phone via Bluetooth. The HTC Advantage X7500 series were a collection of mobile phones that sold under the HTC Advantage X7500 or HTC Athena label. They were a Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Phone Edition based smartphone designed and manufactured by HTC. The Athena was sold by T-Mobile US under the name T-Mobile Ameo. EO Personal Communicator
The EO is an early commercial tablet computer that was created by Eo Inc. (later acquired by AT&T Corporation), and released in April 1993. Eo (Latin for "I go") was the hardware spin-out of GO Corporation. Officially named the AT&T EO Personal Communicator, it is similar to a large personal digital assistant with wireless communications, and competed against the Apple Newton. The unit was produced in conjunction with David Kelley Design, frog design, and the Panasonic Corporation, Matsushita, Olivetti and Marubeni corporations.
