Riverview is a town in Albert County, New Brunswick, Canada. Riverview is located on the south side of the Petitcodiac River, across from the larger cities of Moncton and Dieppe. Riverview has an area of , and a population density of . Riverview's slogan is "A Great Place To Grow". With a population of 20,584 in 2021, Riverview is the largest town in New Brunswick, and despite being designated as a town it is the fifth-largest municipality in the province, being more populous than the cities of Edmundston, Bathurst, Campbellton, and Miramichi. History Though the Petitcodiac River was a regular transportation corridor for aboriginal peoples, the first known settlements in the area were three Acadian ''villages'' in what are now Turtle Creek, Lower Coverdale and Point Park. Charles Foster (writer)
Charles Basil Foster (17 January 1923 – 23 April 2017) was an English-born Canadian publicist, newspaper editor, author and songwriter. He was born in Cheshire, England. During World War II he was a pilot with the Royal Air Force. The RAF sent him to a base in Alberta, Canada for flight training and while on leave he visited Hollywood. There, he met Sidney Olcott, a Canadian-born silent film star who introduced him to numerous other expatriate Canadian actors in Hollywood including Mary Pickford. After the war, Foster used these contacts to begin a career as a publicist in London and in Hollywood, working for such well-known performers as Marilyn Monroe, Richard Burton, Boris Karloff, Errol Flynn and Benny Hill. He was also a songwriter, contributing such titles as "Goodnight Till Tomorrow" (as Basil Foster) for Issy Bonn and others. Travis Jayner
Travis Jayner (born May 9, 1982 in Riverview, New Brunswick) is a Canadian-born American short track speed skater who is a member of the US Olympic Team for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia. He earned a bronze medal in the 5000-meter relay with teammates Apolo Ohno, J.R. Celski, Jordan Malone and Simon Cho. He is currently the Short Track Speedskating Elite Athlete Representative for the US Speedskating Board of Directors. Early life Jayner's father, Jack Jayner, was a U.S. and North American short track champion in high school, and Canadian short track champion 11 years later, early in his business career as an architect. Michael LeBlanc
Michael LeBlanc, (born February 25, 1987) is a Canadian track athlete specializing in the 100 metres. LeBlanc specializes in the 100m and 200m for outdoor, and the 60m for indoor. He set his personal best in the 100m in Sacramento, California, in 2007 during the NCAA Division I Championships by running a time of 10.17 with a legal wind measurement of 1.8. On February 19, 2012, LeBlanc set his personal best for the 60m with a time of 6.61, earning him a spot on Team Canada for the 2012 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Istanbul, Turkey. Mike Miller (born March 15, 1989) is a Canadian former professional Canadian football, football player who is currently the special teams coordinator for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played in the CFL as a linebacker and Fullback (gridiron football), fullback for 11 years.
