People's Progressive Party (Nepal)
The People's Progressive Party () is a political party in Nepal. Although the party's primary base is in the Terai Madhesh area of Madhesh and Lumbini provinces, it has tried to expand to a pan-Nepalese base. The party's formation was formally announced on 14 December 2021. Hridayesh Tripathi is the coordinator of the party. History 2017 elections As of August 2021, the party members had filled their candidacy as an Independent political group in the 2017 Nepalese general election. They used ''sun'' as their election symbol, as a part of agreement/alliance between CPN (UML) and the group. Brijesh Kumar Gupta And Hridayesh Tripathi won as members of the House of Representatives. Similarly, Ajay Shahi and Dharma Lal Shrivastava won as candidate in the provincial assembly elections to the Provincial Assembly of Lumbini Province. Hridayesh Tripathi
Hridayesh Tripathi () is a Nepalese politician, from the People's Progressive Party (Nepal), People's Progressive Party. He is also the current chairman of the party. A former Ministry of Health and Population (Nepal), Minister of Health and Population, Tripathi has worked several terms as minister under the government of Nepali Congress and CPN (UML). Early life and education Tripathi was born in Nawalparasi District, Nawalparasi to Harishankar Triphati and Kunti Devi. 2017 Nepalese General Election
General elections were held in Nepal in two phases on 26 November and 7 December 2017 to elect the 275 members of the fifth House of Representatives, the lower house of the Federal Parliament of Nepal. The election was held alongside the first provincial elections for the seven provincial assemblies. Nawalparasi (West of Bardaghat Susta) district or Nawalparasi West, as known commonly ( ), also frequently referred to as just Parasi District, is a district located in Lumbini Province of Nepal. Daman Nath Dhungana (1940 or 1941 – 17 November 2024) was a Nepali politician who was the Speaker of the House of Representatives from 1991 to 1994. He played an instrumental role during the Nepal peace process between 2003 and 2009. 2022 Nepalese National Assembly Election
National Assembly elections were held in Nepal on 26 January 2022 in order to elect 19 of the 20 retiring Class II members of the National Assembly, the upper house of the Federal Parliament of Nepal.
