The President's Trophy (formerly Patron's Trophy) is a cricket competition that is held in Pakistan. It was previously held between 1960–61 and 2018–19 but was refounded from the 2023–24 season. It consists of teams representing the government and semi-government departments, corporations, commercial organisations, business houses, banks, airlines, and educational institutions. Matches in the competition were afforded first-class status in most seasons until 2006–07, when the domestic first-class competition was reorganised and merged into the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). From then on, the Patron's Trophy was a Grade II competition until a major revamp of domestic cricket in 2019 brought an end to the competition. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), formerly known as Board of Control for Cricket in Pakistan (BCCP), is a sports governing body for cricket in Pakistan responsible for controlling and organising all tours and matches undertaken by the Pakistan national cricket team. The Habib Bank Limited cricket team was a first-class cricket side, sponsored by the Habib Bank Limited, who competed as a departmental team in Pakistan domestic cricket from 1975 to 1976 season. 2013–14 President's Trophy
The 2013–14 President's Trophy was one of two first-class cricket competitions that were held in Pakistan during the 2013–14 season, the other being the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. It was the second edition of the President's Trophy. It was contested by eleven departmental teams, one more than the previous season with the addition of Pakistan Television who had won the previous season's Patron's Trophy Grade-II competition. Each team played ten 4-day matches in a round-robin league phase between 23 October 2013 and 22 January 2014, with the top two teams contesting the final on 12–15 March 2014. Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited cricket team is a first-class cricket team that plays in the Patron's Trophy. The 2012–13 President's Trophy was one of two First-class cricket, first-class cricket competitions that were held in Pakistan during the 2012–13 season, the other being the 2012–13 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. United Bank Limited Cricket Team
United Bank Limited cricket team was a Pakistani domestic cricket team sponsored by United Bank Limited. The team was founded in 1975, and competed in various domestic competitions as a departmental team, principally in first-class cricket, winning nine championship trophies. Home matches were played at the United Bank Limited Sports Complex in Karachi. UBL withdrew from domestic cricket in Pakistan in 1997 before returning in 2006, and regaining a place in first-class competition in 2011.
