Paraíba ( , ; ) is a states of Brazil, state of Brazil. It is located in the Brazilian Northeast, and it is bordered by Rio Grande do Norte to the north, Ceará to the west, Pernambuco to the south and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. Paraíba is the third most densely populated state of the Northeast; João Pessoa, Paraíba, João Pessoa, the coastal state capital, and Campina Grande, in the countryside, rank among the fifteen largest Municipalities of Brazil, municipalities in the Northeast of Brazil. The state is home to 1.9% of the Brazilian population and produces 0.9% of the Brazilian GDP and it is divided into 223 municipalities. João Pessoa, Paraíba
João Pessoa () is a port city in northeastern Brazil. It is the largest city in, and capital of, the state of Paraíba with an estimated population of 833,932 (as of 2022). It is located on the right bank of the Paraíba do Norte river. The new "Estação Ciência, Cultura e Artes" (Science, Culture and Art Station), located at the most eastern point of the Americas (''Ponta do Seixas''), is an educational and cultural institution as well as a national landmark. Daniella Velloso Borges Ribeiro (born 26 March 1972) is a federal senator of Brazil representing her home state of Paraíba. She was previously served in the Legislative Assembly of Paraíba from 2011 to 2019 and was vereador of Campina Grande from 2009 to 2011. Personal life Ribeiro was born to Enivaldo Ribeiro and Virgínia Velloso Borges.
