Sergio Osmeña Sr. (, ; zh, c=吳文釗, poj=Gô͘ Bûn-chiau; September 9, 1878 – October 19, 1961) was a Filipino people, Filipino lawyer and politician who served as the List of presidents of the Philippines, fourth president of the Philippines from 1944 to 1946 and as the first Vice President of the Philippines, vice president of the Philippines from 1935 to 1944. He served the shortest term as president of the Philippines, lasting for only 1 year and 300 days. He was Vice President of the Philippines, vice president under Manuel L. Quezon. Upon Quezon's sudden death in 1944, Osmeña succeeded him at age 65, becoming the first vice president to succeed to the Philippine presidency and the oldest person to assume it until Rodrigo Duterte took office in 2016 at age 71. John Henry Renner Osmeña (January 17, 1935 – February 2, 2021), also known as Sonny Osmeña or simply John Osmeña, was the grandson of Philippines, Philippine President of the Philippines, President Sergio Osmeña. He served as a senator of the Philippines from 1971 to 1972, 1987 to 1995, and 1998 to 2004. Emilio Mario Renner Osmeña Jr. (September 11, 1938 – July 19, 2021), better known as Lito Osmeña, was a Filipino politician. A grandson of former president Sergio Osmeña, he served as Governor of Cebu from 1988 to 1992. He was the founding chairman of PROMDI, under which he ran for President of the Philippines in the 1998 Philippine presidential election but lost to Joseph Estrada. He also ran for Vice President as the running mate of Fidel V. Ramos in the 1992 national elections but lost also to Estrada, six years before the latter would defeat him again. Sergio "Serge" de la Rama Osmeña III (; born December 13, 1943) is a Filipino politician and legislator who served as a Senator of the Philippines. He is a grandson of the 4th president of the Philippines, Sergio Osmeña.
