Open (band)
Open is a band. Background Drummer Pete Neville has been involved in the Sydney/Australian music scene for a number of years. He has recently completed a Masters in screen music at the Australian Film Television and Radio School. He was a member of jazz/rock band Trout Fishing in Quebec and plays percussion with hip hop band Resin Dogs and rockers You Am I. With guitarist and songwriter Daniel Pugliese, Pete Neville and Gabrielle Rogers formed Open in 2005. Performing live at famous Sydney venues such as The Basement, the live line-up has included Paul Bianco, Jack Friels, Paul Mason and Jak Housden. Open (sport)
In sports, an open tournament, or open competition, indicates anyone may enter the tournament or competition, especially without regard to their professional or amateur status. First used in golf, the term is now used in many different sports and in varying contexts, not always in reference to the amateur or professional status of the players. For example, it might indicate that the competition is "open" to international players. An open competition contrasts with closed and invitational competitions. The term "open" is not always absolute. Minimum performance standards, or eligibility criteria, vary by sport and by individual tournament rules. For example, qualifier entrants to the 2025 U.S. Open golf tournament must have a USGA official handicap of 0.4 or less. Open competitions are also found outside of sports, such as open architectural design competitions. Open TV, formerly Epsilontv, is a Greek free-to-air television station, based in Paiania, East Attica. History It belonged to Radio-television S.A. which was sold from Communist Party of Greece to the Cypriot offshore company A-Orizon Media Ltd. under contract came on 31 July 2013, and replaced the 902 channel.
