Norwegian Coastal Administration
Norwegian Coastal Administration () is a Norwegian government agency responsible for the water transport infrastructure along the Coast of Norway. It is responsible for coastal navigation infrastructure, pilotage and harbour and port infrastructure, including lighthouses. The agency is led by the Coastal Directorate (''Kystdirektoratet'') and is subordinate to the Ministry of Fisheries and Coastal Affairs. The main office is in Ålesund. It has 1100 employees. History The administration was created in 1974 when the Norwegian Directorate of Harbours, Naval Pilot Authority and the Norwegian Coastal Navigation Administration were merged. It took its present name in 1981, after it had been reorganised into five regional offices, located in Arendal, Haugesund, Ålesund, Kabelvåg, and Honningsvåg. Haugesund () is a municipality and town on the North Sea in Rogaland county, Norway. As of December 2023, the municipality of Haugesund has a population of 37,855. The vast majority of the population (37,008) live in the Haugesund urban area in the municipality's southwest. The Haugesund urban area also extends into neighboring Karmøy municipality and has a combined population of 46,359. Haugesund is the main commercial and economic centre of the Haugaland region in northern Rogaland and southern Vestland. The majority of the municipality outside this area is rural or undeveloped. Heidi Grande Røys (born 6 May 1967) is a Norway, Norwegian politician for the Sosialistisk Venstreparti, Socialist Left Party. The Royal Norwegian Ministry of Government Administration, Reform and Church Affairs (, FAD) was a Norwegian ministry. It was established as the Ministry of Modernisation on 1 January 2005, succeeding the portfolio of the Ministry of Labour and Government Administration. Victor Norman
Victor Danielsen Norman (24 July 1946 – 20 September 2024) was a Norwegian economist, politician for the Conservative Party and newspaper columnist. He was a professor of economics at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) and sst chairman of the Institute for Research in Economics and Business Administration. Early life and academia Victor Norman was born on 24 July 1946. He earned his bachelor's degree from Yale University and his PhD from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1972. Telenor Maritime Radio
Telenor Kystradio (formerly Telenor Maritim Radio) is a part of Telenor and provides maritime telecommunication services along the coast of Norway, operating networks of marine VHF radio, medium frequency, high frequency and Navtex transmitters. As of January 2018 there are two coastal radio stations in Norway, Kystradio nord and Kystradio sør.
