''Negima! Magister Negi Magi'', known in Japan as , is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Ken Akamatsu. It was serialized in Kodansha's ''shōnen'' manga magazine ''Weekly Shōnen Magazine'' from February 2003 to March 2012, with its chapters collected into 38 volumes. ''Negima!'' was adapted into a 26-episode anime television series produced by Xebec that was broadcast on TV Tokyo from January to June 2005. A second 26-episode series produced by Shaft titled '' Negima!?'', which is alternate retelling, was broadcast on TV Tokyo from October 2006 to March 2007. Negima!?
is an anime television series created by Shaft (company), Shaft. It is an alternate retelling of the ''Negima! Magister Negi Magi'' series. Directed by Akiyuki Shinbo, it aired from October 4, 2006 to March 28, 2007 in Japan. The anime was accompanied by a monthly manga series by Takuya Fujima called ''Negima!? neo''. Shin Oonuma
is a Japanese anime director, animator, and storyboard artist best known for his contributions to studios Shaft and Silver Link. Early life As a child, Oonuma did not care much for anime and found more interest in video games. He watched some parts of ''Mobile Suit Gundam'' while in elementary school without understanding it, and vividly remembered parts of a '' Gamba no Bouken'' rerun because of a weasel character he was terrified by, but otherwise was obsessed Famicon that was released around that time. Ken Akamatsu
is a Japanese manga artist and politician who has served since 2022 as a member of the House of Councillors. He made his professional manga debut in 1993, and is best known as the author of '' Love Hina'' (1998–2001) and ''Negima! Tomoyuki Itamura
is a Japanese director, animator, and storyboard artist. He joined OLM in 2004 as an in-between animator and left in 2007 to join Shaft. Itamura took over the ''Monogatari'' series from Tatsuya Oishi as his television directorial debut with ''Nisemonogatari''. With Akiyuki Shinbo, Itamura directed all subsequent televised installments until he left the studio following ''Owarimonogatari II''. Akiyuki Shinbo
is a Japanese animator, director, compositional writer, and storyboard artist. Best known for his works with Shaft (company), Shaft, he has attained international recognition for his unique visual style and storytelling methods. is a Japanese director and storyboard artist best known for his works with Shaft and the anime adaptation of '' Sakura Trick''. Tanoshimi
Tanoshimi was the United Kingdom arm of US publisher Random House and was responsible for the publication of their English-language manga titles. Its relationship with Random House was the same as Del Rey, which released the same Manga titles for its parent company in the United States. The company came into existence in June 2006, and has since released ten new Manga titles and over 50 books into the UK market. Since 2009 Tanoshimi no longer licenses manga volumes for distribution in the United Kingdom. To continue to follow manga volumes previously released by Tanoshimi, imports could be made from Del Rey in the United States. With the closure of Del Rey, ongoing titles (such as Negima) are now being published by Kodansha USA under the Kodansha Comics imprint.
