Manchester Wolves
The Manchester Wolves were a professional arena football team, based at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire, which folded at the end of the 2009 season along with the rest of the league. They played in the East Division of the American Conference of the AF2 league, which was the minor league of the Arena Football League. Team history Inception On July 19, 2001, Uncasville, Connecticut was awarded an AF2 expansion team. On December 12, 2001, Mohegan Sun and Dr. Eric Margenau, President/Chief Executive Officer of United Sports Ventures, announced that the new expansion AF2 franchise would be named the Mohegan Wolves. Margenau introduced Gary Porter, as the head coach for the team that would first take the field April 5, 2002 at the Mohegan Sun Arena against the Albany Conquest. Danton Barto
Danton L. Barto (March 31, 1971 – August 22, 2021) was an American professional football linebacker and coach. He played college football for the Memphis State Tigers, and professionally for the Memphis Mad Dogs of the Canadian Football League (CFL) and the Connecticut Coyotes of the Arena Football League (AFL). He was also the head coach of the Las Vegas Gladiators and Kansas City Command of the AFL. Early life Barto was born in Muncy, Pennsylvania. He later moved to Niceville, Florida, and attended Niceville High School. In 2023, his 55 jersey was retired by Niceville High. It was the first number ever retired by the school. College career Barto played college football at Memphis State University (now University of Memphis) from 1990 to 1993. He was redshirted by the Tigers in 1989. Verizon Wireless Arena
The SNHU Arena (Southern New Hampshire University Arena) is an indoor events arena in Manchester, New Hampshire, and seats 9,852 for ice hockey, 11,140 for basketball and up to 11,770 for concerts. The facility was originally known during construction as Manchester Civic Arena, and this name still appears on most of the directional signs around town. Its naming rights were sold prior to opening in 2001 and was called Verizon Wireless Arena. On February 2, 2016, Southern New Hampshire University announced that it had purchased the naming rights from the then SMG property management. The specific amount of money involved was never revealed, but it is known that the deal provides for student internships at the arena, and that the school will be able to use the arena for its own sporting and other events. Allen Beverly "Ben" Bennett II (born May 5, 1962) is an American former professional football player who was a quarterback in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Bengals and Chicago Bears. Kyle Rowley
Kyle Rowley (born January 30, 1979) is an American former professional football quarterback who played in the Arena Football League (AFL) and the af2. He played college football at Brown. Rowley was the first quarterback to win an AFL ArenaBowl and af2 ArenaCup Championship, with Nick Davila being the second. His personal career accolades include 2006 ArenaCup Player of the Game, 2008 af2 Offensive Player of the Year, and 2010 ArenaBowl XXIII Championship MVP. Rich Ranglin
Richard Ranglin (born September 27, 1984) is a former American football offensive lineman. He was signed out of the Arena Football League in May 2012 by the Kansas City Chiefs. College career Ranglin was a four-year letterman at Central Connecticut State University from 2003 to 2007, He Ranglin earned second-team All-Northeast Conference honors.
