As the List of extreme points of the United Kingdom, most easterly UK settlement, it is north-east of Ipswich and south-east of Norwich, and the main town in its district. Pakefield
Pakefield is a suburb of the town of Lowestoft, in the East Suffolk district of Suffolk, England. It is located around south of the centre of the town. It 2011 the ward had a population of 6,563. Pakefield has boundaries with Carlton Colville and Kirkley. It also borders the parish of Gisleham. The village of Kessingland is to the south. Oulton Broad
Oulton Broad refers to both the lake and the suburb of Lowestoft, Suffolk, England. The suburb is located west of the centre of Lowestoft. It became a civil parish in 2017. It had an estimated population of 10,338 at the 2011 United Kingdom census. Oulton Broad Oulton Broad is an expanse of water and marsh which forms part of the network of man-made bodies of water known as The Broads. It is believed to be the remnant of medieval peat cutting. To the east it is linked by Mutford Lock to the saltwater Lake Lothing which passes through the centre of Lowestoft and flows into the North Sea. To the west it is linked by Oulton Dyke to the River Waveney. The Broad is the most southern area of open water in the Broads system, and is a busy tourist and sporting centre. Kirkley
Kirkley is an area of the town of Lowestoft in the East Suffolk district of the English county of Suffolk. It is located south of the centre of Lowestoft and the town's harbour and Lake Lothing. Kirkley was originally an independent village but is now part of the urban conurbation of Lowestoft. In 2011 the ward had a population of 7,439. Carlton Colville
Carlton Colville is a seaside town and civil parish in the English county of Suffolk. It is south-west of the centre of the town of Lowestoft in the East Suffolk district. The area lies along the A146 Lowestoft to Beccles road. Carlton Colville has boundaries with Oulton Broad, Gisleham and Pakefield. It forms the south-western edge of Lowestoft, with Mutford to the south-east. The electoral ward continues to the north to the River Waveney and had a population of 6,612 at the 2001 census, increasing to 8,505 at the 2011 census. Corton, Suffolk
Corton is a village and civil parish in the north of the English county of Suffolk. It is north of the centre of Lowestoft in the East Suffolk district. The village is on the North Sea coast with the county border with Norfolk to the north. At the 2011 United Kingdom census the parish had a population of 1,099. It borders the Suffolk parishes of Lound, Blundeston and Flixton as well as the Lowestoft suburb of Gunton and, to the north, the Norfolk parish of Hopton-on-Sea. The A47 road runs along much of the western border of the parish and cuts through the south-western portion, along with the A1117. The roads meet at a junction near the Pleasurewood Hills theme park, located just south of the parish boundary in Gunton. Gunton, Suffolk
Gunton is a suburb of Lowestoft, in the East Suffolk district, in the English county of Suffolk. Gunton was a small coastal village, but over the years it has been suburbanised. Gunton has an estimated population of 6,640. The main A12 or Yarmouth Road runs through the area. The eastern part of Gunton, from Yarmouth Road to Gunton Cliff, is one of the most affluent parts of Lowestoft, after the North Broads area of Oulton Broad. Hollingsworth Road, the main road through west Gunton, is named after the philanthropist Howard Hollingsworth who lived at Gunton Cliff.
