Al Ahli SC (Tripoli)
Al Ahli Sports Club ( ; ), also known as Al Ahli Tripoli, is a Libyan professional football (soccer), football club based in Tripoli, Libya, Tripoli. It is the second most successful Libyan club in history after Al-Ittihad Club (Tripoli), Al-Ittihad, having won 13 Libyan Premier League titles, 7 Libyan Football Cup, Libyan Cups and 2 Libyan Super Cups. The club's crest consists of a green and white background, with a torch placed on an outline of Libya. The torch is meant to signify independence for the nation, as it was achieved just months after the club was founded. The club's crest changed after it won its 10th Libyan Premier League title in 2000, with a star being placed on top. In the year 2000 Al Ahli Tripoli were involved in one of the world's most confusing seasons as they won the league title twice in one season. 2008–09 Libyan Cup
The 2008-09 Libyan Cup is the 19th edition of the competition since its inception in 1976. Rules 45 teams will be entering the competition, composed of 5 sides from the Libyan Third Division, and 40 sides from the Libyan Second Division. 26 were drawn into the First Round, while the other 18 were automatically drawn into the Second Round. The sides participating in the First Round were drawn into regional groups. The Second Round will consist of 32 sides, 18 in the Eastern Section, and 14 in the Western Section. 16 sides from the Second Round will go through to the Round of 32, where they will be joined by the 16 sides in the Libyan Premier League. All ties this season will be one-off ties, compared to previous seasons, where the later rounds were two-legged affairs. If any of the matches end in a draw, then the tie(s) will be settled by a penalty shootout. Khaleej Sirte is a Libyan football club based in Sirte, Libya. They play in the Libyan first division . They play their home matches at the 2 March Stadium in Sirte. The 2007-08 Libyan Cup was the 18th edition of the competition since its inception in 1976. 58 clubs entered this edition of the competition. The competition ended with the Libyan Cup Final, held at the 11 June Stadium, Tripoli, on July 26, 2008.
