Immigration To Ukraine
Immigration into Ukraine post independence has been mainly ethnic Ukrainians already living in nearby countries (for example in 1993 they were 90% of all immigrants); other immigrants were mostly Crimean Tatars and people fleeing wars in Azerbaijan, Transnistria and Ichkeria (now part of Russia as the Chechen Republic). In January 2017 there were 3,302 foreigners with refugee status in Ukraine. Most refugees came from Afghanistan, Syria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Russia and Somalia. After the start of the war in Donbas in 2014 several hundred foreigners (mostly Russians and Belarusians) migrated to Ukraine to join its territorial defence battalions and army. |

Ministry Of Foreign Affairs Of Ukraine
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (, ) is the ministry of the Ukrainian government that oversees the foreign relations of Ukraine. The head of the ministry is the Minister of Foreign Affairs. History Originally, the ministry was established as the General Secretariat of Nationalities as part of the General Secretariat of Ukraine and was headed by the federalist Serhiy Yefremov. Statelessness
In international law, a stateless person is someone who is "not considered as a national by any state under the operation of its law". Some stateless people are also refugees. However, not all refugees are stateless, and many people who are stateless have never crossed an international border. At the end of 2022, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees published an estimation of 4.4 million people worldwide as either stateless or of undetermined nationality, 90,800 (+2%) more than at the end of 2021. However, the data itself is not complete because UNHCR does not have data from many countries, such as from at least 22 countries where mass statelessness exists.
