Image
An image or picture is a visual representation. An image can be Two-dimensional space, two-dimensional, such as a drawing, painting, or photograph, or Three-dimensional space, three-dimensional, such as a carving or sculpture. Images may be displayed through other media, including a Projector, projection on a surface, activation of electronic signals, or Display device, digital displays; they can also be reproduced through mechanical means, such as photography, printmaking, or Photocopier, photocopying. Images can also be Animation, animated through digital or physical processes. In the context of signal processing, an image is a distributed amplitude of color(s). In optics, the term ''image'' (or ''optical image'') refers specifically to the reproduction of an object formed by light waves coming from the object. A ''volatile image'' exists or is perceived only for a short period. This may be a reflection of an object by a mirror, a projection of a camera obscura, or a scene d ...

IMG (file Format)
An IMG file, a.k.a. raw image, contains a complete and uncompressed image of a storage device's data content. The image includes the value of each memory location of the storage device, ordered sequentially such that the data can be written to a similar device to completely overwrite its content. The layout of data in a raw image depends on the file system of the target storage device (for example FAT). For example, an optical disc (i.e. CD or DVD) raw image contains the tracks of audio or video. In the case of a CD-ROM or DVD, an image usually includes not only the data of each sector, but the control headers and error correction fields for each sector as well. Since raw image files hold no additional data, metadata, beyond the storage content, determining the structure of an existing image can be difficult. Either a user remembers what a file contains via their memory or records metadata in the file name or via some other mechanism. In some cases, a tool can detect as ...

Design Rule For Camera File System
Design rule for Camera File system (DCF) is a JEITA specification (number CP-3461) which defines a file system for digital cameras, including the directory structure, file naming method, character set, file format, and metadata format. It is currently the de facto industry standard for digital still cameras. The file format of DCF conforms to the Exif specification, but the DCF specification also allows use of any other file formats. As of 2021, the latest version of the standard was 2.0, issued in 2010. File system In order to guarantee interoperability, DCF specifies the file system for image and sound files to be used on formatted DCF media (like removable or non-removable memory) as FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, or exFAT. Media with a capacity of more than 2 GB must be formatted using FAT32 or exFAT. The DCF standard defines that the " Read Only" file and directory attribute of FAT file systems can be used to protect files or directories from accidental deletion. Other ...

BBCode
BBCode ("Bulletin Board Code") is a lightweight markup language used to format messages in many Internet forum software. It was first introduced in 1998. The available "tags" of BBCode are usually indicated by square brackets ( and ">/code> and /code>) surrounding a keyword, and are parsed before being translated into HTML. Tags Implementation BBCode is typically implemented by applying a series of regular expression A regular expression (shortened as regex or regexp), sometimes referred to as rational expression, is a sequence of characters that specifies a match pattern in text. Usually such patterns are used by string-searching algorithms for "find" ... string-replace operations upon the input. Because regular expressions are limited in analyzing the structure of text input, this has the artifact that any non-hierarchical BBCode input will be transformed into invalid non-hierarchical HTML without error. Applying traditional parsing techniques is made difficult ...

Integrated Microbial Genomes System
The Integrated Microbial Genomes (IMG) system is a genome browsing and annotation platform developed by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)- Joint Genome Institute. IMG contains all the draft and complete microbial genomes sequenced by the DOE-JGI integrated with other publicly available genomes (including Archaea, Bacteria, Eukarya, Viruses and Plasmids). IMG provides users a set of tools for comparative analysis of microbial genomes along three dimensions: genes, genomes and functions. Users can select and transfer them in the comparative analysis carts based upon a variety of criteria. IMG also includes a genome annotation pipeline that integrates information from several tools, including KEGG, Pfam, InterPro, and the Gene Ontology, among others. Users can also type or upload their own gene annotations (called MyIMG gene annotations) and the IMG system will allow them to generate Genbank or EMBL format files containing these annotations. In successive releases IMG has expa ...

International Medical Graduate
An international medical graduate (IMG), earlier known as a foreign medical graduate (FMG), is a physician who has graduated from a medical school outside of the country where he or she intends to practice. The term non-local medical graduate may be similarly used in countries with distinct licensing regions within them. Generally, the medical school of graduation is one listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOM) as accredited by the Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research or the World Health Organization. Medical schools around the world vary in education standards, curricula, and evaluation methods. Many countries have their own certification program, equivalent to the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) in the United States. The purpose of ECFMG Certification is to assess the readiness of international medical graduates to enter clinical specialty training programs as resident physicians and fellowship ...

Iterated Monodromy Group
In geometric group theory and dynamical systems the iterated monodromy group of a covering map is a group describing the monodromy action of the fundamental group on all iterations of the covering. A single covering map between spaces is therefore used to create a tower of coverings, by placing the covering over itself repeatedly. In terms of the Galois theory of covering spaces, this construction on spaces is expected to correspond to a construction on groups. The iterated monodromy group provides this construction, and it is applied to encode the combinatorics and symbolic dynamics of the covering, and provide examples of self-similar groups. Definition The iterated monodromy group of ''f'' is the following quotient group: :\mathrmf := \frac where : *f:X_1\rightarrow X is a covering of a path-connected and locally path-connected topological space ''X'' by its subset X_1, * \pi_1 (X, t) is the fundamental group of ''X'' and * \digamma :\pi_1 (X, t)\rightarrow \mathrm\,f ...
