IK Start
Idrettsklubben Start (or simply IK Start) is a Norwegian Association football, football club from the city of Kristiansand that currently plays in the Norwegian First Division, the second tier of the Norwegian football league system. The club was founded on 19 September 1905. The club's current head coach is Azar Karadas. The team plays in yellow jerseys, black shorts and socks at home, and black jerseys, yellow shorts and socks away. They play their home matches at Sør Arena, opened in 2007. Before moving to Sør Arena, IK Start played their games at Kristiansand Stadion. The team’s official supporter club, “Tigerberget,” existed until 2017, when the IK Start board decided to discontinue having an official supporter club. Sør Arena
Sparebanken Sør Arena ("South Arena") is a Association football, football stadium located at Torsvika in Kristiansand, Norway. The all-seater stadium, all-seater has a capacity of 14,563 people, and serves as the home ground of Tippeligaen side IK Start. It was designed by Kjell Kosberg, and is architecturally similar to Aker Stadion. The venue has seen concerts by Elton John, Dolly Parton and A-ha, among others.. UEFA refers to the stadium as Kristiansand Arena. Construction started in 2006, and the stadium opened on 15 April 2007, replacing Kristiansand Stadion as Start's home ground. The venue cost 400 million Norwegian krone (NOK), of which the stadium itself cost NOK 250 million, after significant cost overruns. The 2005 Tippeligaen was the 61st completed season of top division association football, football in Norway. The season began on 10 April 2005, and was concluded with the last of 26 rounds played on 29 October. 3 points were given for wins and 1 for draws. Vålerenga Fotball, Vålerenga, the winner of this year's season entered the second round of next year's UEFA Champions League, Champions League qualification, while the runners-up (IK Start, Start), number 3 (FK Lyn, Lyn) and the Norwegian Cup winners enter the UEFA Cup qualification round. Mons Ivar Mjelde
Mons Ivar Mjelde (born 17 November 1967) is a Norwegian football coach and former player who works as head coach for the Norwegian club Øygarden. He is notable for having led Brann to the Norwegian top division championship in 2007, breaking the widely supported team's notorious spell of 44 years without a league title. As a player, he was a prolific goalscorer both in the Norwegian top division and the Austrian Bundesliga. He also won three caps for Norway, scoring two goals. Mjelde has won the Kniksen award both as a player and as a head coach. Playing career Mjelde was born in Osterøy.
