Haplogroup I-M253
Haplogroup I-M253, also known as I1, is a Y chromosome haplogroup. The genetic markers confirmed as identifying I-M253 are the SNPs M253,M307.2/P203.2, M450/S109, P30, P40, L64, L75, L80, L81, L118, L121/S62, L123, L124/S64, L125/S65, L157.1, L186, and L187. It is a primary branch of Haplogroup I-M170 (I*). Haplogroup I1 is believed to have been present among Upper Paleolithic European hunter-gatherers as a minor lineage but due to its near-total absence in pre-Neolithic DNA samples it cannot have been very widespread. Neolithic I1 samples are very sparse as well, suggesting a rapid dispersion connected to a founder effect in the Nordic Bronze Age. Today it reaches its peak frequencies in Sweden (52 percent of males in Västra Götaland County) and western Finland (more than 50 percent in Satakunta province). In terms of national averages, I-M253 is found in 38-39% of Swedish males, 37% of Norwegian males, 34.8% of Danish males, 34.5% of Icelandic males, and about 28% of F ...

Motorola I1
The Motorola i1 is an Internet-enabled smartphone by Motorola, running the Android operating system designed by Google. It was the first Android smartphone for iDEN-based networks, which use older 2G technology rather than modern CDMA and GSM networks, and only support data rates up to 19.2  kbps. The Motorola i1 also uses Wi-Fi to access the Internet at higher speeds. It was announced on March 23, 2010, and launched with Boost Mobile in the US on June 20, 2010, for a retail price of $350 without a contract. The Motorola i1 is available in the United States for Boost Mobile, Sprint Nextel and SouthernLINC, in Canada for Telus (Mike) and in Mexico and other Latin American countries for Nextel. LB&SCR I1 Class
The LB&SCR I1 class was a class of 4-4-2 steam tank locomotives designed by D. E. Marsh for suburban passenger service on the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway. History This class was intended to haul secondary passenger trains, especially in the south London suburbs, and twenty locomotives were constructed by Brighton works between June 1906 and December 1907. The locomotives proved to be reliable but with disappointing performance in their original form, being poor steamers, but all of them passed to the Southern Railway in 1923. They reportedly gained the nickname "Wankers" due to the aforementioned steaming issues, but were also known as 'Wealden Tanks'. I1X class Between 1925 and 1932 they were rebuilt by Richard Maunsell with spare boilers left over after the rebuilding of the B4 and I3 classes. The rebuilt engines were designated I1x class, and these new larger boilers greatly improved their performance. Withdrawals Two worn-out members of the class were ...

Polikarpov I-1
The Polikarpov I-1 was the first indigenous Soviet monoplane fighter. It had to be redesigned after the crash of the first prototype, and was eventually ordered into production in small numbers, but it was never accepted for service with the Soviet Air Forces. Development The I-1 (I = ''Istrebitel'' or fighter) was a single-seat, low-wing, wooden aircraft. The first prototype, known as the IL-400, was designed around the Liberty L-12 piston engine. It used the radiator and propeller of the Airco DH.9A. The fuselage and wings were covered with a mix of plywood and fabric. The landing gear was braced by wires and the wingtips were protected by tubular curved skids. On the IL-400's maiden flight on 15 August 1923, the aircraft stalled and crashed because its center of gravity was too far aft.Gunston, p. 286 A second prototype, designated as the IL-400bis or IL-400B, was built, but it had to be redesigned to cure the center of gravity problem. A new, thinner, aluminum wing was de ...

Rank-into-rank
In set theory, a branch of mathematics, a rank-into-rank embedding is a large cardinal property defined by one of the following four axioms given in order of increasing consistency strength. (A set of rank < \lambda is one of the elements of the set V_\lambda of the von Neumann hierarchy.) *Axiom I3: There is a nontrivial elementary embedding of V_\lambda into itself. *Axiom I2: There is a nontrivial elementary embedding of V into a transitive class M that includes V_\lambda where \lambda is the first fixed point above the critical point (set theory), critical point. *Axiom I1: There is a nontrivial elementary embedding of V_ into itself. *Axiom I0: There is a nontrivial elementary embedding of L(V_) into itself with critical point below \lambda. These are essentially the strongest known large cardinal axioms not known to be inconsistent in ZFC; the axiom ...
