High Line
The High Line is a elevated linear park, greenway, and rail trail created on a former New York Central Railroad spur on the West Side of Manhattan in New York City. The High Line's design is a collaboration between James Corner Field Operations, Diller Scofidio + Renfro, and Piet Oudolf. The abandoned spur has been redesigned as a "living system" drawing from multiple disciplines which include landscape architecture, urban design, and ecology. The High Line was inspired by the long (tree-lined walkway), another elevated park in Paris completed in 1993. The park is built on an abandoned, southern viaduct section of the New York Central Railroad's West Side Line. Highline High School is a public high school in Burien, Washington, United States, located about 3.5 miles from Seattle–Tacoma International Airport. Highline High School, the flagship high school of the Highline Public Schools district, opened in 1924 and served the cities of Burien, Des Moines, and an area south of Seattle now known as White Center. Today, those cities all have their own area high schools, but at the time Highline was the only high school in the area. Highlining
Slacklining is walking, running or balancing along a suspended length of flat webbing that is tensioned between two anchors. Slacklining is similar to slack rope walking and tightrope walking. Slacklines differ from tightwires and tightropes in the type of material used and the amount of tension applied during use. Slacklines are tensioned significantly less than tightropes or tightwires in order to create a dynamic line which will stretch and bounce like a long and narrow trampoline. Tension can be adjusted to suit the user, and different webbing may be used in various circumstances. The Highliner is a bilevel electric multiple unit (EMU) railcar. The original series of railcars were built in 1971 by the St. Louis Car Company for commuter service on the Illinois Central Railroad, in south Chicago, Illinois, with an additional batch later produced by Bombardier. A second generation featuring a completely new design was produced by Nippon Sharyo beginning in 2005. Daihatsu Hi-Line
The Daihatsu Hi-Line/F series (''Japanese: ダイハツ・ハイライン/Fシリーズ'') is a series of compact trucks, manufactured and sold from 1960 to 1972. This truck series competed against rivals such as the Toyota Stout, Nissan Junior, Prince Miler, Hino Briska or Mazda B series. The truck was released in 1960 and available in two models; a 1.75-tonne class "F175" with 1.5-litre ''FA'' engine (same engine that powered the larger Daihatsu V200 truck) and a 1.5-tonne class "D150" with 1.5-litre diesel engine. In 1962, a new 1-tonne load capacity class called "Hi-Line" was introduced to fill the class below the higher duty F175/D150 trucks. The Camden Highline is a proposed elevated public park and greenway that will run from Camden Town to King's Cross, transforming a disused section of the North London Line and running alongside it.
