Greece
Greece, officially the Hellenic Republic, is a country in Southeast Europe. Located on the southern tip of the Balkan peninsula, it shares land borders with Albania to the northwest, North Macedonia and Bulgaria to the north, and Turkey to the east. In North America, fraternities and sororities ( and ) are social clubs at colleges and universities. They are sometimes collectively referred to as Greek life or Greek-letter organizations, as well as collegiate fraternities or collegiate sororities to differentiate them from general, non-university-based Fraternity, fraternal organizations and fraternal orders, Friendly society, friendly societies, or Benefit society, benefit societies. Generally, membership in a fraternity or sorority is obtained as an Undergraduate education, undergraduate student but continues thereafter for life by gaining alumni status.
