The governor of Himachal Pradesh (ISO: Himachal Pradēśa kē Rājyapāla) is the constitutional head of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Shiv Pratap Shukla is the 22nd governor (31st if governors with additional charge also counted) of Himachal Pradesh since February 2023. Out of the regular 21 governors (except the present one) of the state only three have been able to complete their full terms: S. Chakravarti (1971–77), Vishnu Sadashiv Kokje (2003–08) and Urmila Singh (2010–15). Emblem Of Himachal Pradesh
The Emblem of Himachal Pradesh is the official state seal used by the Government of Himachal Pradesh, Government of Himachal Pradesh and is carried on all official correspondences made by State of Himachal Pradesh. It was adopted by the Government of Himachal Pradesh at the establishment of the state on 25 January 1971. The State of Himachal Pradesh has an Emblem consisting of a mountain ridge over three white fesses, charged with the Aśoka capital. Hokishe Sema
Hokishe Sema (6 March 1921 – 31 January 2007) was an Indian politician who served as the third Chief Minister of Nagaland and the fourth Governor of Himachal Pradesh. He was also a member of the drafting committee of Naga People's Convention. Early life Sema was born on 6 March 1921 in the Sütemi village in the erstwhile Naga Hills District (present-day Zünheboto District of Nagaland). He studied in Mokokchung Government School before proceeding to Serampore College and St Anthony's College in Shillong. He joined government service in the 1950s as a school inspector, later serving as an assistant commissioner of the then Naga Hills district of undivided Assam. Gulsher Ahmed (3 August 1921 – 20 May 2002) was a leader of the Indian National Congress. He studied in England and became a barrister. He was speaker Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha, MLA and also MP from Satna Lok Sabha constituency. He was the 9th governor of Himachal Pradesh in 1993. Bali Ram Bhagat (7 October 1922 – 2 January 2011) was an Indian politician and member of the Indian National Congress (INC). He has served as Member of Parliament (MP) in Lok Sabha representing Patna-cum-Shahabad from 1952 to 1957 and Shahabad from 1957 to 1977. Shankar Dayal Sharma
Shankar Dayal Sharma (; 19 August 1918 – 26 December 1999) was an Indian lawyer and politician who served as the President of India from 1992 to 1997. Born in Bhopal, Sharma studied at Agra, Allahabad and Lucknow and received a doctorate in constitutional law from the University of Cambridge and was a bar-at-law from Lincoln's Inn and a Brandeis Fellow at Harvard University. Virendra Verma
Virendra Verma (18 September 1916 – 2 May 2009) was an Indian politician, born in Shamli, Uttar Pradesh. He served as the Governor of Punjab and the Administrator of Chandigarh (1990) as well as the Governor of Himachal Pradesh (1990–1993). Personal life Virendra Verma was educated in J.H. School in Shamli, then DAV/SD High School in Muzaffarnagar and after his graduation attained an L.L.B. in 1943 from Meerut College, Meerut.
