Established in 1991, after the Cable Television in Brazil, creation of subscription television services in Brazil, with 29 channels and over 1,000 employees, it is the largest pay television content provider in Brazil, as well as of Latin America, comprising a domestic audience of 45 million viewers distributed among more than 15 million households. Cable TV sales and distribution were assigned to Net Brasil, which was also responsible for installing cable networks in selected cities. Gloob (Portuguese language, Portuguese pronunciation: "Glubi"), also known as Mundo Gloob, is a Brazilian pay television children's Television channel, channel that was launched on 15 June 2012, aimed at children 6 to 12 years old. Owned, operated and part of Canais Globo, a television broadcast network, and subsidiary of Grupo Globo. SporTV is a Brazilian pay television sports network owned by Canais Globo, part of Grupo Globo, launched in 1991. It is the most watched sports network in Brazil. Multishow is an entertainment channel owned by Canais Globo, Grupo Globo's cable and satellite television channel operator. It was launched in 1991, as one of the company's first four channels (with Telecine, Top Sport – now SporTV – and GNT). Globoplay Novelas is a Brazilian pay television channel owned by the Canais Globo unit of Grupo Globo. Globoplay is a Brazilian subscription video on-demand over-the-top streaming service owned by Grupo Globo. The service primarily distributes films and television series produced by Estúdios Globo with the service also hosting content from other providers, content add-ons, live sporting events, and video rental and purchasing services. Gloobinho
Gloobinho is a Brazilian pay television preschool channel owned by Globo, a Grupo Globo company that in 2020 unified TV Globo, Globo.com, DGCorp (Corporate Management Board) and Globosat (now called Canals Globo). It is Gloob's preschool version, at children from 2 to 5 years old. The channel's programming is also available on demand through the channel's own platform, "Gloobinho Play". On 3 August 2017, the newspaper 'Agora São Paulo' announced that the former Globosat, (now Canais Globo), would be creating a new channel called Gloobinho, which would debut in October. GloboNews is a Brazilian news-based pay television channel, owned by Canais Globo, a division of Grupo Globo. History GloboNews launched in 1996. In the previous year, Alice-Maria Reiniger had been invited to return to Sky Brasil, where she had started her career in journalism, to deploy and direct Brazil's first 24-hour news channel. She created and helmed GloboNews for the next decade.
