Eyüpspor Footballers
Eyüpspor Kulübü, known as ikas Eyüpspor due to sponsorship reasons, is a Turkish professional football club located in the Eyüpsultan district of Istanbul. Their colours are lavender and yellow. Their home ground is Eyüp Stadium, which has a capacity of 2,500. Eyüpspor plays in the Super Lig, the top tier of Turkish football. History Eyüpspor, established in 1919, entered the Istanbul Football League from 1935 to 1938. They ascended to the TFF Third League in 1970–71 but faced relegation to the Regional Amateur League two years later. Reclaiming their spot in the Third League in 1984–85, they surged to the TFF Second League as their group leaders in 1986–87. Eyüpsultan or Eyüp () is a municipality and Districts of Turkey, district of Istanbul Province, Istanbul Province, Turkey. Its area is 228 km2, and its population is 422,913 (2022). The district extends from the Golden Horn all the way to the shore of the Black Sea. Eyüp is also the name of a prominent neighborhood and former village in the district, located at the confluence of the Kâğıthane and Alibey streams at the head of the Golden Horn. Berke Özer (born 25 May 2000) is a Turkish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Süper Lig club Eyüpspor and the Turkey national team. Club career Fenerbahçe signed in Berke Özer along with his team-mate Barış Alıcı from Altınordu, on 10 July 2018, with an altogether €4 million transfer fee. Recep Niyaz (; born 2 August 1995) is a Turkish professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Süper Lig club Eyüpspor. Club career Recep Niyaz started his career at youth division of Denizlispor in 2005, where he played until 2010. Niyaz joined Fenerbahçe subsequent to scouting outputs of Rıdvan Dilmen in 2010. Umut Dilan Bozok (born 19 September 1996) is a professional footballer who plays as a striker for Süper Lig club Eyüpspor. Born in France, he played for the Turkey national team. Fredrik Midtsjø (born 11 August 1993) is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Süper Lig club Eyüpspor. Midtsjø began his professional career at Norwegian club Rosenborg in 2010.
