Exo
Exo (; stylized in all caps) is a South Korean-Chinese boy band based in Seoul formed by SM Entertainment in 2011 and debuted in 2012. The group consists of nine members: Xiumin, Suho, Lay Zhang, Lay, Baekhyun, Chen (singer), Chen, Chanyeol, D.O. (entertainer), D.O., Kai (entertainer, born 1994), Kai and Sehun. They are noted for releasing music and performing extensively in Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Mandarin and Japanese. The group debuted with twelve members separated into Exo-K (Suho, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai and Sehun) and Exo-M (Xiumin, Lay, Chen, Kris Wu, Kris, Lu Han, Luhan and Huang Zitao, Tao). Members Kris, Luhan, and Tao departed the group individually amid legal battles with SM Entertainment in 2014 and 2015. Lay Zhang
Zhang Yixing (born Zhang Jiashuai ; ), known professionally as Lay Zhang or simply Lay, is a Chinese singer and actor. After participating in the Chinese talent show ''Star Academy'' in 2005, he became a member of the South Korean-Chinese boy band Exo and its Chinese sub-unit Exo-M under SM Entertainment in 2012. In 2015, Zhang founded a studio under SM for his solo activities in China. From 2015 to 2018, he was a cast member of the Chinese reality show ''Go Fighting!''. In 2016, Zhang released his first extended play (EP), Lose Control (EP), ''Lose Control''. The EP peaked at number one on the Gaon Album Chart and number four on ''Billboard (magazine), Billboard''s US World Albums chart. In 2020, Zhang founded the Chromosome Entertainment Group.
