Este (woreda)
Este was one of the 105 woredas in the Amhara Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Debub Gondar Zone, Este was bordered on the south by the Abay River which separated it from the Misraq Gojjam Zone, on the west by Dera, Amhara (woreda), Dera, on the northwest by Fogera, on the north by Farta, on the northeast by Lay Gayint, and on the east by Simada; part of this woreda's boundary with Simada was defined by the Wanka, a tributary of the Abay. Towns in Este included Jara Gedo and Mekane Yesus, as well as the historic settlement of Mahdere Maryam. Este was divided for Mirab Este and Misraq Este woredas. Overview The woreda is one of the most abandoned place by the regime in power. The woreda went to spend for about 20 years in darkness, after losing a generator that lit up about 10,000 households. Charles Este
Charles Este (1696–1745) was bishop of Ossory (1735–1740) and subsequently of Waterford and Lismore (1740–1745). Born at Whitehall, the son of Michael Este, and educated at Westminster School and Christ Church, Oxford, he distinguished the latter as joint editor of ''Carmina quadragesimalia ab aedis Christi alumnis composita…, 1723'' (and subsequent editions), to which he himself contributed. Receiving the patronage of Archbishop Boulter of Armagh whom he served as chaplain from 1724, he moved to Ireland and was collated to the rectory of Derrynoose on 9 Jan 1626. He married Susanna Clements in May 1725 and was subsequently raised to the archdeaconry of Armagh in 1730 and to the chancellorship of Armagh in 1733. He was nominated in January 1736 to become bishop of Ossory and was consecrated in February 1737. Subsequently he moved to become bishop of Waterford and Lismore on 18 July 1744. The Villa d'Este is a 16th-century villa in Tivoli, Lazio, Tivoli, near Rome. Este Haim
Este Arielle Haim (born March 14, 1986) is an American musician. She is best known as the bassist and a vocalist of the pop-rock trio Haim, which she formed with her younger sisters Alana and Danielle in 2006. She co-writes all of Haim's songs. Since 2021, Este has composed scores for film and television. She acted as a music consultant for the second season of HBO's '' The White Lotus''. Florence Esté
Florence Esté (1860 – April 25, 1926) was an American painter in oils born in Cincinnati, Ohio. She also worked in watercolors, pastels, and as an etcher and engraver. She was particularly well known for her landscapes, which were said to have been influenced by Japanese artworks and were noted for their "harmony of color". Her obituary in the ''New York Times'' referred to her as "one of the best known women landscape painters." Aquiles Este (born c. 1962 in Caracas, Venezuela) is an American semiotician and professor at the University of Miami's School of Business. Este () is a town and ''comune'' of the Province of Padua, in the Veneto region of northern Italy. It is situated at the foot of the Colli Euganei, Euganean Hills. Este Culture
The Este culture or Atestine culture was an archaeological culture existing from the late Italian Bronze Age (10th–9th century BC, proto-venetic phase) to the Iron Age and Roman period (1st century BC). It was located in the modern area of Veneto in Italy and derived from the earlier and more extensive Proto-Villanovan culture. It is also called the "civilization of situlas", or Paleo-Venetic. The culture is named after a proto-urban settlement in the Po Valley (Northern Italy). The city of Este was originally situated on the river Adige, which changed its course in 5th century; it was a center of metalworking. The settlement evolved in the beginning of the 1st century BC at the cross-way of important traffic routes. Essentially only the cemeteries with cremated burials and sometimes rich grave goods survive for modern archaeology to explore.
