Arild Andersen (born 27 October 1945) is a Norwegian jazz musician bassist, known as the most famous Norwegian bass player in the international jazz scene. Career Andersen was born at Strømmen, Norway. He started his musical career as jazz guitarist in the Riverside Swing Group in Lillestrøm (1961–63), started playing double bass in 1964, and soon became part of the core jazz bands in Oslo. ''Electra'', also ''Elektra'' or ''The Electra'' (, ''Ēlektra''), is a Greek tragedy by Sophocles. Its date is not known, but various stylistic similarities with the '' Philoctetes'' (409 BC) and the '' Oedipus at Colonus'' (406 BC) lead scholars to suppose that it was written towards the end of Sophocles' career. Jebb dates it between 420 BC and 414 BC. Storyline Set in the city of Mycenae a few years after the Trojan War, the play tells of a bitter struggle for justice by Electra and her brother Orestes for the murder of their father Agamemnon by Clytemnestra and their stepfather Aegisthus. When King Agamemnon returns from the Trojan War, his wife Clytemnestra (who has taken Agamemnon's cousin Aegisthus as a lover) kills him. Michail "Mikis" Theodorakis ( ; 29 July 1925 – 2 September 2021) was a Greek composer and lyricist credited with over 1,000 works. He scored for the films '' Zorba the Greek'' (1964), '' Z'' (1969), and '' Serpico'' (1973). He was a three-time BAFTA nominee, winning for ''Z''. Johann Christian Friedrich Hæffner (2 March 1759 in Oberschönau – 28 May 1833 in Uppsala) was a German-born Swedish composer. Hæffner received his first musical education with the Schmalkalden organist Johann Gottfried Vierling. He studied in Leipzig from 1776, and then worked as a music conductor in theatres in Frankfurt am Main and Hamburg from 1778 to 1780. He moved to Stockholm, Sweden in 1781 at the invitation of the German congregation there (''Tyska kyrkan'') to assume the position of organist, which he held until 1793. The same year (1781) he was employed at the Royal Swedish Opera, Royal Theatre in Stockholm as well as conductor of the orchestra for the Stenborg theatres. ''Elektra'', Opus number, Op. 58, is a one-act opera by Richard Strauss, to a German-language libretto by Hugo von Hofmannsthal, which he adapted from his 1903 drama ''Elektra''. The opera was the first of many collaborations between Strauss and Hofmannsthal. It was first performed at the Semperoper, Königliches Opernhaus in Dresden on 25 January 1909. It was dedicated to his friends Natalie and Willy Levin. Public Service Broadcasting (band)
Public Service Broadcasting is a British rock band formed in London by J. Willgoose, Esq., in 2009. They consist of four members known mainly by their stage names: Willgoose Esq. (guitar, banjo, strings, samples and electronics), Wrigglesworth (drums, piano and electronics), J F Abraham (flugelhorn, bass guitar, drums and vibraslap) and Mr B ( visuals and set design for live performances). Initially a solo project consisting of J. Willgoose Esq., he released EP One in 2009.
