Düzce Province
Düzce Province () is a Provinces of Turkey, province in northwestern Turkey. The province is on the coastline of the Black Sea and is traversed by the main highway between Istanbul and Ankara. The primary town is Düzce, located in the center of the province. There are ancient ancient Greece, Greek ruins in the province. Düzce separated from the Bolu Province, Bolu province and became a province in its own right after a 1999 Düzce earthquake, devastating earthquake in the city in November 1999. Its area is 2,492 km2, and its population is 405,131 (2022). Düzce () is a city in northwestern Turkey, the capital city of Düzce Province, the eighty-first Provinces of Turkey, province in the country. Right to Clean Air Platform Turkey (RtCAP) () is an independent non-governmental organisation exclusively focused on the issue of air pollution in Turkey. In 2023 they said that air pollution is four times World Health Organization guidelines. Objectives To protect public health RtCAP aims to clean up Turkey's air until it at least meets the World Health Organization's (WHO) recommended safe level. Air Pollution In Turkey
In Turkey, air pollution is the most lethal of the nation's environmental issues, with almost everyone across the country exposed to more than World Health Organization guidelines. Over 30,000 people die each year from air pollution-related illnesses; over 8% of the country's deaths. Air pollution is particularly damaging to children's health. Researchers estimate that reducing air pollution to World Health Organization limits would save seven times the number of lives that were lost in traffic accidents in 2017. Road transport in Turkish cities and coal in Turkey are major polluters, but the main factor affecting air pollution levels is vehicle density. The number of vehicles traversing Turkey's roads has increased from 4 million in 1990 to 25 million in 2020.
