Doha Metro
The Doha Metro (, ''Romanization of Arabic, romanized: Mitru ad-Dawha'') is a rapid transit system in the Doha Metropolitan Area of Qatar's capital city Doha, which became operational on 8 May 2019. It has three lines with an approximate overall length of and 37 stations. It is an integral component of the larger Qatar Rail network, which will include a long-distance rail for passengers and freight, linking Qatar to the Gulf Cooperation Council, GCC, and the Lusail LRT. Capable of reaching , the Doha Metro has one of the fastest driverless trains in the world. Doha Metro is operated and maintained for a duration of 20 years by RKH Qitarat, a joint venture formed by Hamad Group (51%) and French transit operators Keolis and RATP Group, RATP Dev (49%), on behalf of system owner Qatar Rail. West Bay () is an area in Doha, Qatar that encompasses the city's east coast districts, namely, Al Qassar, Al Dafna, West Bay Lagoon, and Onaiza. Ras Abu Aboud
Ras Abu Aboud () is a Qatari district in the municipality of Doha. It is an industrial district containing power and desalination plants. It accommodates one of Qatar's three major power stations which supply electricity to the whole country. The district was named in honor of a former resident called Aboud.
