Discovery Kids
Discovery Kids, stylized as discovery k!ds, is a brand name owned by Warner Bros. Discovery. Starting as a television block within Discovery Channel, the brand expanded as a separate television channel in October 1996. Discovery Kids on NBC was an American children's programming block that aired on NBC from October 5, 2002, to September 2, 2006. Most of Discovery Kids' worldwide channels, as well as its website for children's activities and consumer products, have been either rebranded or shut down. Following the Warner Bros. Discovery merger in 2022, the brand was replaced by the Cartoonito brand. As of 2025, Discovery Kids-branded channels continue to exist in India, Brazil and Latin America. An unbranded morning programing block based on the Latin American channel also exists in the United States on Discovery Familia. Discovery Kids On NBC
Discovery Kids on NBC was an American children's programming block that aired on NBC from October 5, 2002 to September 2, 2006. The block was produced under a time-lease agreement with Discovery Kids, and features a mixture of live-action and animated series originated on the cable network that met educational programming requirements defined by the Federal Communications Commission. History In December 2001, NBC reached a partnership with Discovery Communications, in which its cable channel Discovery Kids would produce a new three-hour Saturday morning block for the network that would feature programming that met the educational programming guidelines enforced by the Children's Television Act. The block would replace '' TNBC'', a block of live-action series aimed at a teenage audience whose creation was motivated by the success of its series ''Saved by the Bell''. Discovery Kids (Australia)
Discovery Kids (stylised as Discovery K!ds) was an Australian subscription television channel, aimed at 2-6 year olds screening factual and educational programming. The channel launched on Foxtel on 3 November 2014. The channel replaced Discovery Home & Health, whose select programming moved to TLC. The channel ceased operations on 1 February 2020, after which the channel space created in 2007 by Discovery Home & Health ceased to exist. No reason was given to why it ceased. Discovery Kids was a Canadian English language specialty television channel owned by Corus Entertainment and Discovery Communications. Discovery Wings (UK & Ireland)
Discovery Wings was a British TV channel devoted to documentaries regarding aircraft and as a brand extension of '' Wings'', a staple documentary programme of the Discovery Channel throughout the 1990s. In the United States it has been replaced by the Military Channel, which still has a large portion of its programming dedicated to military aviation. The channel timeshared with Discovery Kids.
