Dengeki Comic Gao!
, also known as ''Dengeki Gao!'' was a Japanese shōnen manga magazine that primarily contained manga and information about series featuring bishōjo characters. It was published from December 1992 to February 2008 by MediaWorks. The ''Gao'' in the magazine's title is a childish form of the sound ''Grr''. Many manga serialized in ''Dengeki Comic Gao!'' were adapted from light novels published under MediaWorks' ''Dengeki Bunko'' label. The magazine was sold every month on the twenty-seventh. When ''Dengeki Comic Gao!'' was first published, many of the manga that ran in the magazine had transferred from Kadokawa Shoten's ''Comic Comp'' magazine, though many of the titles were slightly altered. This caused the readers of ''Comic Comp'' to become interested in ''Dengeki Comic Gao!'' and in October 1994, ''Comic Comp'' ceased publication. ''Gurren Lagann'', known in Japan as , is a Japanese mecha anime television series animated by Gainax and co-produced by Aniplex and Konami. It ran for 27 episodes on TV Tokyo between April and September 2007. It was directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi and written by veteran playwright Kazuki Nakashima. ''Gurren Lagann'' takes place in a fictional future where the Spiral King, Lordgenome, rules Earth and forces mankind to live in isolated subterranean villages. ''Dokkoida?!'', known in Japan as , is a comedic Japanese light novel series about a boy, , who is hired by a preteen space alien girl, Tanpopo, to try out an experimental new suit developed by the intergalactic toy company that she works for. Suzuo agrees to work for her since he is unemployed and needs the job to pay the rent. The suit gives him super powers, with which he fights bad guys and people from rival intergalactic toy companies and organizations. DearS
is an ecchi shōnen Japanese manga series co-written and illustrated by Banri Sendo and Shibuko Ebara, credited under their pen name Peach-Pit. It was serialized monthly by MediaWorks in their magazines '' Dengeki Comic Gao!'' from October 2001 to September 2005 and '' Dengeki Maoh'' from October to November 2005 and was later published into ten volumes by the company.
