Cycling At The 2024 Summer Olympics – Men's Cross-country
The men's cross-country mountain biking event at the 2024 Summer Olympics took place at Colline d'Élancourt (Elancourt Hill) which is the highest point in the Paris region. 36 cyclists from 28 nations competed. The gold medal was awarded to the defending 2020 Olympic champion Tom Pidcock. Background This was the 8th appearance of the event, which has been held at every Summer Olympics since mountain bike cycling was added to the programme in 1996. Christopher Blevins (born March 14, 1998) is an American cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Mountain Bike Team Specialized Factory Racing. Specializing in cross-country mountain biking, Blevins has also previously competed in road cycling (for ) and cyclo-cross, before choosing to solely focus on mountain biking in preparation for the 2020 Summer Olympics. Ondřej Cink (; born 7 December 1990) is a Czech cross-country mountain biker and road racing cyclist. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed in the Men's cross-country at Hadleigh Farm, finishing in 14th place. He finished in the same position at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Jofre Cullell Estapé (born 10 March 1999) is a Spanish cross-country mountain biker and cyclo cross cyclist. He is from a family of keen cyclists who own a cycle shop in his hometown of Santa Coloma de Farners. In 2017, Cullell won the European Junior Cross-country Championships.
