Ctrl.Alt.Shift
Ctrl.Alt.Shift was an initiative politicising a new generation of activists for social justice and global change. It was a project of UK aid and development charity Christian Aid. Magazine and Website Ctrl.Alt.Shift was founded by Katrin Owusu and published the first issue of its magazine in June 2008. The magazines continued until 2010 and the website until mid-2011. It has published issues focusing on 'HIV & Stigma' and 'Gender & Power'. The magazine was edited by blogger and columnist Chantelle Fiddy who also helped edit the website. The website featured regular columnists and staff writers such as Dwain Lucktung, Eva Baker, Russell Myrie and Bibi van der Zee alongside user-generated content. Chantelle Fiddy
Chantelle Fiddy is a British journalist, columnist, event promoter and music industry professional. She is well known as a commentator on London's grime scene and as a social activist as the former editor of Ctrl.Alt.Shift. She is currently contributing editor at RWD Magazine and urban editor at Mixmag. Her work has also appeared in i-D, Dazed & Confused, Sunday Times Style, The Guardian and The London Paper. She has also worked in television and radio. She was a featured presenter in Channel 4's 'Generation Next' series and has appeared as a guest on BBC Radio 1's Review Show. She also presented a 40-minute documentary on Lady Sovereign for BBC 1Xtra. Fiddy is one of the tastemakers who puts together the BBC's 'Sound of' List. In 2013 Fiddy starred in the BBC documentary series VIP People, with pop star A*M*E, and went behind-the-scenes on how to make a fanzine and how to become a successful recording artist. English Language

''Vice'' (stylized in all caps) is a Canadian-American magazine focused on lifestyle, arts, culture, and news/politics. The Thirst are an English indie rock band based in Brixton, London. The band consists of brothers Mensah ( vocals/ guitar) and Kwame Hart (bass), Mark Lenihan ( guitar) and Marcus Harris (drums/backing vocals). Young Knives
Young Knives are an English indie rock band from Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire. The name is based on a misunderstanding of "young knaves", which was found by the band when rummaging through a book. The band was originally named Simple Pastoral Existence, but this name only lasted until they split for a few years from 1997 to 1999, at which time they renamed themselves Ponyclub. The name "Ponyclub" was changed when they got their first record deal because there was already an artist in existence named "Pony Club". This is when the name "The Young Knives" was coined. They later dropped the definite article prefix prior to the release of their second full-length album, '' Superabundance''. Paul Andrew Williams (born 1973 in Portsmouth, England) is a British film writer and director. He won the New Director's Award for his film ''London to Brighton'' in the 2006 Edinburgh International Film Festival. Shynola
Shynola are a directing team who have worked across live-action and animation for over twenty years. Gideon Baws, Chris Harding, Richard Kenworthy and Jason Groves formed Shynola while at art college and immediately earned recognition for their inventive work. Their music video work includes Radiohead, Beck, Blur, Coldplay, ABBA and Queens of the Stone Age, with commercials for Nike, Audi, PlayStation and Maserati. David Shrigley
David John Shrigley (born 17 September 1968) is a British visual artist. He lived and worked in Glasgow, Scotland for 27 years before moving to Brighton, England in 2015. Early life and education Shrigley was born 17 September 1968 in Macclesfield, Cheshire. He moved with his parents and sister to Oadby, Leicestershire when he was two years old. He took the Art and Design Foundation course at Leicester Polytechnic in 1987, and then studied environmental art at Glasgow School of Art from 1988 to 1991. Baltic Centre For Contemporary Art
Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art (also known simply as (the) Baltic, stylised as BALTIC) is a centre for contemporary art located on the south bank of the River Tyne in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, England. It hosts a frequently changing variety of exhibitions, events, and educational programmes with no permanent exhibition. The idea to open a centre for contemporary arts in Gateshead was developed in the 1990s, which was a time of regeneration for the local area—the Sage and Gateshead Millennium Bridge was also being conceived of in this period.
