Cristian Álvarez (musician)
Cristian "Pity" Álvarez (born 28 June 1972) is an Argentine rock musician, a member of the rock bands Viejas Locas and Intoxicados. Career Álvarez grew up in the Piedrabuena Complex, in the Villa Lugano neighbourhood of Buenos Aires. In 1993, he joined the rolinga rock band Viejas Locas. He left in 2000 to establish his current band Intoxicados. Intoxicados In 2001, Intoxicados released its first album, ''Buen día'' (''Good day''), which had a similar style to Viejas Locas, but also incorporated other genres such as punk and reggae. In Intoxicados' first concert, in Cemento in 2001, the band played mostly Viejas Locas songs with some of their own. In 2003, the group released their second album, ''No es sólo rock and roll'' (''It's not just rock and roll''). The album included a song dedicated to Muddy Waters, called "De a ratitos". Cristian Álvarez (Salvadoran Footballer)
Cristian Edgardo Álvarez Cruz (born 19 April 1978 in Santa Ana) is a former Salvadoran professional footballer and currently manager. Club career Álvarez came through the youth system at C.D. FAS and signed professional terms with them in 1995. In 1999, he joined Portuguese Second Division club Espinho on loan, but returned to El Salvador after only one season for play with C.D. Dragón. In 2001, Álvarez rejoined C.D. FAS. International career Álvarez made his debut for El Salvador in an October 2000 FIFA World Cup qualification match against St Vincent & the Grenadines and has earned a total of 17 caps, scoring no goals. He has represented his country in 3 FIFA World Cup qualification matches and played at the 2001 and 2005 UNCAF Cups. Cristián Andrés Álvarez Valenzuela (born 20 January 1980) is a Chilean former footballer, who played as a defender. Club career Universidad Catolica As a child, Álvarez and his twin brother, Iván, played at Escuela de Fútbol Municipal de Curicó (Municipal Football Academy of Curicó), later named Juventud 2000, founded by their father Luis Hernán. He arrived in 1993 to prove to Universidad Católica next to his twin brother Iván, after the pickers of the UC saw him play in a championship in his native Curicó. He spent three years traveling to Santiago to train and play for the Crusaders, it was not until 1996 that he finally moved to live in Santiago.
