Crazy Taxi (video Game)
is a racing video game developed and published by Sega. It is the first game in the ''Crazy Taxi'' series. The game was first released in arcades in 1999 and then was ported to the Dreamcast in 2000. Gameplay is based on picking up taxi customers and driving to their destination as quickly as possible. Reception to ''Crazy Taxi'' has been mostly positive. It was ported to other platforms numerous times, including the PlayStation 2 and GameCube by Acclaim in 2001, and then Windows in 2002, becoming Sega's first multi-platform game after the company transitioned to third-party. The game has also been rereleased for the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade, iOS and Android, and is also featured on the '' Dreamcast Collection''. Sega AM3
, known as from 2000 to 2004, is a defunct division of Sega, a Japanese video game company. Established by 1993, AM3 was managed by Hisao Oguchi and developed a number of arcade games for Sega. Series introduced by AM3 include '' Virtual On'', '' Sega Rally'', '' Crazy Taxi'', and '' Virtua Tennis''. AM3's main focus was on arcade games until the release of the Dreamcast. Crazy Taxi 2
is a 2001 racing video game and the second installment of the ''Crazy Taxi'' series. It was originally released for the Dreamcast, and was later ported to the PSP as part of '' Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars'' in 2007. It is the last ''Crazy Taxi'' game to be released for the Dreamcast after the console was discontinued in March 2001. ''Crazy Taxi 2'' introduced several new features not found in the original, including two new cities, "Around Apple" and "Small Apple", both somewhat based on New York City. The new cities share four new drivers as default, bringing the total playable characters to eight. ''Nintendo Selects'' (and its predecessor; ''Player's Choice'') was a marketing label previously used by Nintendo to promote best-selling video games on Nintendo game consoles. It was released for Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo DS, and Windows, featuring characters from multiple Sega franchises.
