Crashcarburn
CrashCarBurn is a rock band from South Africa. The band was formed in London in 2006 before returning to South Africa in early 2007. The group's debut album, ''This City Needs a Hero'' was released in 2007 was recorded and produced in part at London's Miloco Studios by the Grammy nominated team of Colin Richardson and Matt Hyde. In August 2007, 'Serenade', the first single from the album, reached 5FM's Hi5@5. Internationally the single 'Broken Skyline' enjoyed success on the UK market after being added to Kerrang Radio's play list as well as their annual 'Kerrang Unsigned' Compilation. CrashCarBurn have completed four nationwide tours, including the "XBOX 360 Summer Tour" in 2007 and the "Powerzone Roadshow", "God Save the Clubs Tour" and the "Powerzone Summer Tour" in 2008. In 2008, they were chosen to play at the MyCokeFest festival in April, supporting Muse, Good Charlotte, 30 Seconds to Mars, Chris Cornell and Korn. Tweak was an alternative rock band from South Africa. Remaining members of the band formed Crashcarburn after the rest of the band parted ways in 2006 to pursue personal projects. They have returned three times for a reunion tour, and the first two of these times they accompanied their comeback with a new song. History Early days, ''Take Note'' Tweak was formed in late 1998 by Garth Barnes, Mike Stott, and Chris Brink. With the money won from a Battle of the Bands contest in August 2000 they recorded their debut EP, ''Take Note'', at a tiny single garage at B Sharp Studios in Boksburg with the help of a local producer, John Paul de Stefani. The EP was tracked, mixed and mastered in just under 14 hours. This was the first time samples were experimented with, such as the sonar sample in the intro to "One Night". Miloco Studios are a group of recording studios based in London, England. History Miloco was formed out of the merging of three former London recording studios: Milo Music, The Garden and Orinoco Studios. Milo Music began in 1984 as a small studio in east London's Hoxton Square (the studio is commonly referred to as simply 'The Square'), which was used by the likes of Tricky, M People and The Brand New Heavies in the early years of its life. In the early nineties they took over another building nearby to The Square and used it to build seven programming suites for artists and producers to use for long-term periods. Today, Miloco still operate five of the seven rooms, and people filling them currently include pop producer Richard X and Swing Out Sister. Pennywise is an American punk rock band from Hermosa Beach, California, formed in 1988.
