The Apple IIGS (styled as II) is a 16-bit personal computer produced by Apple Inc., Apple Computer beginning in September 1986. It is the fifth and most powerful model of the Apple II family. The "GS" in the name stands for "Graphics and Sound", referring to its enhanced multimedia hardware, especially the state-of-the-art audio. It is compatible with earlier Apple II models, and Apple initially sold a kit for converting an Apple IIe into a IIGS. The system is a radical departure otherwise, with a WDC 65C816 microprocessor, 256 KB or 1 MB of random-access memory expandable to 8 MB, resolution and color similar to the Amiga and Atari ST, and a 32 channel Ensoniq wavetable synthesis chip. Cortland at Colliers Yard is a 153 m (500 ft) tall, 50-storey residential skyscraper in the Greengate area of Salford, Greater Manchester, England. The building is part of developer Renaker's Greengate masterplan called Colliers Yard, which consists of three adjacent towers, the others being Bankside and Parkside. It was designed by OMI Architects with Denton Corker Marshall as the delivery architects. As of March 2025, it is the tallest building in Salford and the eighth-tallest building in Greater Manchester. Cortland Fitzsimmons (June 19, 1893 – July 25, 1949) was an American writer and screenwriter, and author of crime fiction. Biography Fitzsimmons was born on June 19, 1893, in Richmond Hills, Long Island, located in the New York City borough of Queens. He was the only child of Martha Emma Gritman and Simon Michael Fitzsimmons. His father died in 1910 and he and his mother moved to Brooklyn. He went to school at Miner's Business Academy, New York University and City College. After school he worked as an export manager for McKesson and Robins, was a salesman for Baker and Taylor Publishing and was sales manager for Viking Press. From 1918 to 1919 he was owner of a bookshop. In 1928, he published his first novel, Better Bridge, followed in 1930 by The Manville Murders, which "shows great originality and is "considered one of the jewels of the L'Empreinte collection." Cortland Temujin Finnegan (born February 2, 1984) is an American former professional football player who was a cornerback in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Samford Bulldogs, and was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the seventh round of the 2006 NFL draft. Finnegan was also a member of the St. Louis Rams, Miami Dolphins, Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints. He was a Pro Bowler in 2008.
