Bodmin
Bodmin () is a town and civil parish in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is situated south-west of Bodmin Moor. The extent of the civil parish corresponds fairly closely to that of the town so is mostly urban in character. It is bordered to the east by Cardinham parish, to the southeast by Lanhydrock parish, to the southwest and west by Lanivet parish, and to the north by Helland parish. Bodmin had a population of 14,736 as of the 2011 Census. It was formerly the county town of Cornwall until the Crown Courts moved to Truro which is also the administrative centre (before 1835 the county town was Launceston, Cornwall, Launceston). English Football League System
The English football league system, also known as the football pyramid, is a series of interconnected leagues for men's association football clubs in England, with five teams from Wales, one from Guernsey, one from Jersey and one from the Isle of Man also competing. The system has a hierarchical format with promotion and relegation between leagues at different levels, allowing even the smallest club the theoretical possibility of ultimately rising to the very top of the system, the Premier League. Below that are levels 2–4 organised by the English Football League, then the National League System from levels 5–10 administered by the FA, and thereafter Regional feeder leagues run by relevant county FAs on an ''ad hoc'' basis. Trelawny League
The Trelawny League was an English association football league comprising clubs from West Cornwall, formed from a merger between the Mining League and the Falmouth & Helston League at the end of the 2010–11 season. The new Trelawny League commenced in the 2011–12 season after the Falmouth and Helston League celebrated its 50th anniversary. The league originally consisted of seven divisions, but was reduced to six for the 2012–13 season, reduced to five for the 2016–17 season, and further reduced to four for the 2019–20 season after the creation of the St Piran League. The top division operated at the 13th tier of the English football league system. Up to two teams from the Premier Division could be promoted to the Cornwall Combination providing they finished in the top three and satisfied ground grading requirements. Duchy League
The Duchy League was an English football competition based in the eastern half of Cornwall, but also included a few sides from over the border in Devon. The League was formed in 1965 as a merger of the Liskeard & District League and the St. Austell & District League. It had three divisions headed by the Duchy League Premier Division, which operated at level 13 of the English football league system. It was a feeder to the East Cornwall League. In 2014–15, Padstow United won the Premier Division, and earned promotion to the East Cornwall League. Cornwall Combination League
The Cornwall Combination League was an English football competition based in the western half of Cornwall, formed in 1959. The last league sponsors were drinks retailers LWC. The league once had a single division of 20 clubs, being larger than any league below step 6 in the English football league system. The Champion club could apply for promotion to the St Piran Football League, West Division. The bottom clubs were liable to relegation to one of the level 13 leagues of the English football league system – normally the Trelawny League. The only time a club from the league has played in the FA Cup was when Falmouth Town played a single match in 1983–84, the only season Falmouth's first team played in the Combination. St Piran League
The St Piran Football League is a football league, the Premier Division of which operates at level 11 of the English league system. The league was founded in 2019 to act as a regional feeder league to the South West Peninsula League. All member clubs are based in Cornwall, except for a very small number based in Devon. South West Peninsula League
The South West Peninsula League (SWPL) is a football competition in England, which was formed in 2007 from the merger of the Devon County League and the South Western League. The league covers Cornwall, Devon, western Somerset and western Dorset. The league consists of two Premier Divisions (East and West), which are ranked at Step 6 in the National League System. Until 2019–20, there was a single Premier Division at Step 6, and two divisions at Step 7 (Division One West and Division One East). Subject to applying, receiving the required ground grading and finishing high enough in the league table, one club from each Premier Division can be promoted to the Western League Premier Division each season.
