History Coolidge had its start in 1900 when the Tifton, Thomasville and Gulf Railway was extended to that point. The community was named after a railroad official. Coolidge is a city in Pinal County, Arizona, United States. According to the 2020 census, the city's population is 13,218. Coolidge is home of the Casa Grande Ruins National Monument. The monument was the first historic site to receive protected status by the United States Government in 1892. Coolidge is also home to both Central Arizona College and the Central Arizona Valley Institute of Technology. History The area containing what is now the City of Coolidge was occupied by the Hohokam, an indigenous ancient Sonoran Desert people who built a massive compound consisting many of caliche structures and remained in the area for over 1,000 years. Coolidge is a town in Limestone County, Texas, United States, established in 1903. The population was 778 at the 2020 census. History The town of Coolidge was established in 1903 by the Trinity and Brazos Valley Railway of Texas, as it was laying down rail between Hillsboro and Mexia. The same rail line was also responsible for the growth of nearby Tehuacana, itself established in 1847. Coolidge lost its rail service in 1942, though the depot remained and was later restored into a visitor center. Historically, the town's main industry was cotton farming, though it was largely replaced with cattle ranching by the mid-20th century, as with most of the surrounding area. Coolidge is a ghost town in Price County, Wisconsin, United States. It was located in the town of Fifield near Coolidge Lake, north of Phillips. The town was marked on USGS maps as late as 1941 and is still marked on Wisconsin Department of Transportation maps. History Coolidge was one of the first settlements in the Town of Fifield along the Wisconsin Central Railroad. The town was set up as a flag station for the railway in November 1886. It consisted of two stores, a boarding house, a post office, and a saw and planing mill. The latter was built by W. H. Coolidge in 1884. When Boyington and Atwell of Stevens Point built their sawmill at the site known as Fifield, Coolidge had a population of 500. The mill operated until 1891 and had a pine cut of over 80,000,000 board feet. Calvin Coolidge State Forest, also known as Coolidge State Forest, covers in two parts in Rutland and Windsor counties in Vermont. The West portion cover in Killington, Mendon, Plymouth and Shrewsbury in both counties. The East portion cover in Bridgewater, Plymouth, Reading, and Woodstock in Windsor County. The forest is managed by the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks, and Recreation for timber resources, wildlife habitat, and recreational activities. The Green Mountains are a mountain range in the U.S. state of Vermont and are a subrange of the Appalachian Mountains. The range runs primarily south to north and extends approximately from the border with Massachusetts to the border with Quebec, Canada. The Coolidge Cricket Ground is a cricket ground in Osbourn, Saint George Parish, Antigua. It was previously known as the Airport Cricket Ground, before it was taken over by American businessman and cricket enthusiast Allen Stanford, rebuilt in 2004 and named the Stanford Cricket Ground. It was used as one of the many home grounds of the Leeward Islands and also hosted many Twenty20 matches, including both the 2006 and 2008 Stanford 20/20 tournaments and the 2008 Stanford Super Series.
