Conflict (American TV Series)
''Conflict'' is an American anthology television series that was broadcast biweekly on ABC September 18, 1956 - September 3, 1957. Episodes focused on personal conflicts. It succeeded ''Warner Bros. Presents''. Although ''Conflict'' assumed the same time slot as its predecessor, the two do not share the same format. Where ''Warner Bros. Presents'' had been a wheel series, ''Conflict'' was fully an anthological series. However, since ''Cheyenne'' and ''Conflict'' alternated the Tuesday 7:30 P.M. time slot, the net effect was that of a proper wheel series—even though ''Cheyenne'' and ''Conflict'' were not under the same umbrella title. The name change was imposed upon its production company, Warner Bros., by ABC executives who believed that "conflict" was the missing element in ''Casablanca'' and ''Kings Row'' from ''Warner Bros. Karen Sharpe
Karen Kay Sharpe (born September 20, 1934) is an American film and television actress. She is known for playing Laura Thomas in the American western television series '' Johnny Ringo''. Life and career Sharpe was born in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of Kirk Howard Sharpe, a businessman and oilman, and Dorothy Shrout. She was an ice skater in Hollywood, California and was a student at Hollywood Professional School. She studied dancing with choreographer Adolph Bolm in Los Angeles, California. Sharpe had unsuccessful screen tests while she worked as a model. After she was discovered by a talent scout, she began her career in 1952, starring in the film '' Army Bound''. Will Hutchins
Marshall Lowell Hutchason (May 5, 1930 – April 21, 2025), known professionally as Will Hutchins, was an American actor most noted for playing the lead role of the young lawyer Tom Brewster, in the Western television series '' Sugarfoot'', which aired on ABC from 1957 to 1961 for 69 episodes. Early life Hutchins was born in the Atwater Village neighborhood of Los Angeles. As a child, he visited the location filming of '' Never Give a Sucker an Even Break'' and made his first appearance as an extra in a crowd. He attended Pomona College in Claremont, California, where he majored in Greek drama. He also studied at the University of California at Los Angeles, where he enrolled in cinema classes. ''Sugarfoot'' is an American Western television series that aired for 69 episodes on ABC from 1957-1961 on Tuesday nights on a "shared" slot basis – rotating with ''Cheyenne'' (first season); ''Cheyenne'' and '' Bronco'' (both second and fourth seasons); and ''Bronco'' (third season). The Warner Bros. production stars Will Hutchins as Tom Brewster, an Easterner who comes to the Oklahoma Territory to become a lawyer. Jacques Sernas
Jokūbas Bernardas Šernas (30 July 1925 – 3 July 2015), commonly known as Jacques Sernas and sometimes credited as Jack Sernas, was a Lithuanian-born French actor with an international film career. Biography He was born in Kaunas, Lithuania, the son of Jokūbas Šernas, a signatory of the 1918 Act of Independence of Lithuania, who died when Sernas was one year old. His mother took him to Paris, France, where Sernas received his formal education. During World War II, he joined the French Resistance and was captured and interned at the Nazi Buchenwald concentration camp, near Weimar, Germany. After the war, Sernas was considering a career in medicine and then in journalism before turning to films. His first role was in ''Miroir'' (1946).
