Hesdin
Hesdin (; ) is a former Communes of France, commune in the Pas-de-Calais Departments of France, department in northern France. On 1 January 2025, it was merged into the new commune of Hesdin-la-Forêt. Geography The N39, from Arras to Montreuil, Pas-de-Calais, Montreuil, used to be the main thoroughfare of the town. In the 1950s, a circular route was created to help traffic flow. A second bypass was built in the 1980s, taking all through traffic well away from the town centre. The Canche river flows through the centre of Hesdin. History Hesdin was a fief of the counts of Artois, vassals of the Count of Flanders, Counts of Flanders until 1180. When Philip I, Count of Flanders, Philip, count of Flanders gave Artois as dowry to his niece Isabella of Hainault when she married Philip Augustus of France in 1180, Hesdin and the other seigneuries passed to France. Guisy
Guisy () is a commune in the Pas-de-Calais ''département'' in the Hauts-de-France region of France. Geography A village situated some 10 miles (16 km) southeast of Montreuil-sur-Mer on the D113 road. Population Places of interest Legend has it that during his two-year exile in France, Saint Thomas of Canterbury stayed in the commune. The church of Saint Thomas of Canterbury dates from the eighteenth century. Its bell dates from 1679 and has been classified since 1908 as an '' objet historique'' by the Ministry of Culture. Tortefontaine
Tortefontaine () is a commune in the Pas-de-Calais department in the Hauts-de-France region of France. The commune is part of the 7 Vallées community of communes, which includes 69 municipalities and had 29,602 inhabitants in 2019. Geography Tortefontaine lies southwest of Hesdin, on the D136 road with the Varnette, a small tributary of the Authie flowing through it. The rural agricultural commune has three hamlets, Le Molinel, Le Bout de Bas and Saint-Josse-au-Bois. Hydrography The territory of the commune is located in the Artois-Picardy basin. Le Parcq
Le Parcq () is a commune in the Pas-de-Calais department in the Hauts-de-France region of France about 18 miles (29 km) southeast of Montreuil-sur-Mer, in the valley of the Ternoise river. Administration On 1 January 2007, Le Parcq became part of the arrondissement of Montreuil, with the other communes of the then canton of Le Parcq. Previously, Le Parcq was in the arrondissement of Arras.
