Communauté d'agglomération du Gard Rhodanien is the ''communauté d'agglomération'', an intercommunal structure, centred on the town of Bagnols-sur-Cèze. Bagnols-sur-Cèze (, literally ''Bagnols on Cèze''; oc, Banhòus de Céser) is a commune in the Gard department in the Occitanie région in southern France. History A small regional center, Bagnols-sur-Cèze was quite certainly a Roman town (the name of the town comes from the Latin meaning “related to baths, bathing-place”) before the main part was built in the 13th century around a central arcaded square that is still preserved today. At the same period, the regional market was installed here, undoubtedly contributing to its expansion. Population Bagnols-sur-Ceze expanded steadily after the Marcoule nuclear center was established in 1956. Pont-Saint-Esprit
Pont-Saint-Esprit (, literally "Holy Spirit Bridge"; oc, Lo Pònt Sant Esperit) is a commune in the Gard département in southern France. It is situated on the river Rhône and is the site of a historical crossing, hence its name. The Ardèche flows into the Rhône, just to the north of the bridge. The residents are called Spiripontains.
