Brignoles
Brignoles (; ) is a commune in the Var department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of Southeastern France. Alongside Draguignan, it is one of two subprefectures in Var. It was the summer residence of the counts of Provence; their castle dates from the thirteenth century. In 2020, the commune of Brignoles had a population of 17,652. Pourcieux

Plan-d'Aups-Sainte-Baume (; Provençal: ''Lo Plan d’Aups de la Santa Bauma'', before 1993: ''Plan-d'Aups'') is a commune in the Var department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France. It lies to the north of the Sainte-Baume mountain range. History Second World War In June 1944, at the aftermath of D-Day when the French Resistance went on an offensive against the German occupiers, the hills near Plan-d'Aups were the site of a bloody battle. Some 200 Maquis had set up a camp there, commanded by SOE agent Robert Burdett. They were attacked by large German forces. Nans-les-Pins
Nans-les-Pins (; ) is a commune in the Var department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France. It lies in the western part of the department, north of the Sainte-Baume ridge. The town sits about 1km north and 100m downhill from its former location, now known as ''Vieux Nans'' ("Old Nans"). Old Nans was centered on a castle, first built in the 8th Century AD, and was abandoned for the new site in the 15th Century. It is possible to explore the remains of the old town and castle on foot. Nans-les-Pins sits on the pilgrimage route to Sainte-Baume, and grew beyond a small village in the 19th Century. It is the starting point for a marked hiking route to the source of the Huveaune river. There is an 18-hole golf course and a Marvilla Parks campsite in the town.
