Commercial Radio Hong Kong
Commercial Radio Hong Kong (CRHK, , also known as Hong Kong Commercial Broadcasting Company Limited, is one of the two commercial radio broadcasting companies in Hong Kong, alongside Metro Radio Hong Kong. CRHK offers a variety of radio programs, including news and weather reports, music, and cultural arts. History CRHK was founded by George Ho Cho-chi on 26 August 1959, after he inherited HK$50,000 from his father, Sir Robert Ho Tung. The 10-year franchise of Radio Rediffusion ended its radio operations in 1959. CRHK then joined Radio Rediffusion and Radio Television Hong Kong. Initially, Commercial Radio was located in Lai Chi Kok, near Mei Foo Sun Chuen. Nine years later, on 25 July 1966, the station relocated to Broadcast Drive. However, at that time, the new five-story building was still under refurbishment, so the station was temporarily housed in Yau Yat Chuen until 26 August 1971. G.J. George Ho
George Ho Cho-chi, GBS, OBE, JP (3 November 1919 – 4 June 2014) was a Hong Kong media mogul. The fifth son of the influential businessman Robert Hotung, George Ho was the founder of the Commercial Radio Hong Kong and Commercial Television. Family and career George Ho was the illegitimate son of Robert Hotung, then the most influential Eurasian compradore in Hong Kong, and Kate Archer. George was bequeathed a substantial amount of money directly and indirectly. His grandfather through Robert Hotung was a Jewish Dutch man, Charles Henry Maurice Bosman. George Ho studied at King's College, Hong Kong and the University of California, Berkeley. Sammy Leung
Sammy Leung Chi Kin is an actor under TVB, DJ, singer, and host for Commercial Radio Hong Kong. Life and career Leung was raised in Kwai Shing Estate since from 4 to 15 years old, and received his secondary education at St. Stephen's College and La Salle College, graduating with a score of 25 (1A5B) in the HKCEE. He graduated from Chinese University of Hong Kong's School of Journalism and Communication. He was invited to be a lecturer at his alma mater, teaching radio production and media studies, until he left in 2006 to pursue his radio career further. Leung tried out to become a DJ for Commercial Radio when he was studying at the New Asia College of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Jan Lamb Hoi-fong (; born 28 January 1967) is a Hong Kong DJ, singer and actor. Lamb is the elder brother of Jerry Lamb and younger brother of singer and radio personality Sandy Lamb.
