Colgate is an Unincorporated area#United States, unincorporated community in Steele County, North Dakota, Steele County, North Dakota, United States. Founding The townsite was founded in 1882. A post office called Colgate was established in 1883 and remained in operation until 1972. The community has the namesake of James Boorman Colgate, who was the largest land owner with he bought from the Northern Pacific Railway. Schools There was a Colgate School District, but after the school closed in 1964, children began attending schools in Hope, North Dakota, Hope and Page, North Dakota, Page (now the Hope-Page School District). Colgate is an unincorporated community in Washington County, Wisconsin, United States, straddling the county line with Waukesha County. Colgate is located partially in the village of Richfield, and the village of Lisbon. Its ZIP Code is 53017. The population is around 300, up from about 50 in 1983. Geography The Fox River, an Illinois River tributary, rises in a small, unnamed swamp, southeast of the community of Colgate. The Bark River also originates to the north and runs in a southwesterly direction. The Canadian National Railway line runs North-South, and there was originally a depot there. Colgate is a small village and civil parish in the Horsham district of West Sussex, England, about four miles (6 km) north east of Horsham. A small village, with its origins at the northern edge of St. Leonards Forest, it has no shops or retail facilities.
