Coen Brothers
Joel Coen and Ethan Coen, together known as the Coen brothers (), are an American filmmaking duo. Their films span many genres and styles, which they frequently subvert or parody. Among their most acclaimed works are '' Blood Simple'' (1984), '' Raising Arizona'' (1987), '' Miller's Crossing'' (1990), '' Barton Fink'' (1991), '' Fargo'' (1996), '' The Big Lebowski'' (1998), '' O Brother, Where Art Thou?'' 2015 Cannes Film Festival
The 68th Cannes Film Festival took place from 13 to 24 May 2015. Coen brothers, Ethan and Joel Coen were the Co-Presidents of the Jury for the main competition, marking the first time that two people co-chaired the jury. Since the Coen brothers each received a separate vote, they were joined by seven other jurors to form the customary nine-juror panel. French actor Lambert Wilson was the host for the opening and closing ceremonies. French filmmaker Jacques Audiard won the , the festival's top prize, for the drama film ''Dheepan''. ''Barton Fink'' is a 1991 American black comedy thriller film written, produced, edited and directed by the Coen brothers. Set in 1941, it stars John Turturro in the title role as a young New York City playwright who is hired to write scripts for a film studio in Cinema of the United States, Hollywood, and John Goodman as Charlie Meadows, the insurance salesman who lives next door at the run-down Hotel Earle. The Coens wrote the screenplay for ''Barton Fink'' in three weeks while experiencing writer's block during the writing of ''Miller's Crossing''.
