Tommy Sexton
Thomas Sexton (July 3, 1957 – December 13, 1993) was a Canadian comedian. Born in St. John's, Newfoundland, he was the youngest member of the ''CODCO'' comedy troupe. Educated in St. John's, he was an honours student before quitting after Grade 10 to pursue an acting career in Toronto. After briefly working on a children's touring theatre show, he landed his first television role in the drama series ''Police Surgeon (Canadian TV series), Police Surgeon''. Sexton and colleague Diane Olsen subsequently wrote ''Cod on a Stick'', a comedic play which launched CODCO. In 1975, Sexton took a brief sabbatical from CODCO to study at the Toronto Dance Theatre. He subsequently returned, working on other shows with CODCO and subsequently touring with colleague Greg Malone (actor), Greg Malone in two co-written works, ''The Wonderful Grand Band'' and ''Two Foolish to Talk About''. Catherine Frederica "Cathy" Jones (born April 6, 1955) is a Canadian actress, comedian and writer. She is known for her work for 28 years on the Canadian television series '' This Hour Has 22 Minutes''. Jones left the show in 2021. She was 17 when her older brother, comedian Andy Jones, put in a good word for her with the Newfoundland Traveling Theatre Company. Andrew Jordan Jones (born January 15, 1948) is a Canadian comedian, actor, writer, and a former member of CODCO. Early life Andy Jones was born in St. John's, Newfoundland. He is one of four children of Michael Jones and Agnes Dobbin. He is the brother of comedian Cathy Jones and filmmaker Michael Jones (1944-2018). Andy Jones attended St. Bonaventure's College until grade eight and then attended Gonzaga High School for the next three years. He received a BA. in Theology and English from St. Mary's University (Halifax) and then studied drama at University of Alberta in Edmonton and at the University of Toronto, acting in campus productions. Greg Thomey (born May 8, 1961) is a Canadian comedian, actor and playwright and a founding member of the long-running television program ''This Hour Has 22 Minutes''. He has been a recipient of numerous Gemini Awards. Born in St. John's, Newfoundland, Thomey has been part of the comedy scene there for many years beginning as a writer and performer with the comedy troupe ''CODCO'' and as an actor and playwright. ''The Adventure of Faustus Bidgood'' is a 1986 surreal Canadian comedy film directed by Andy Jones and written by Andy and Mike Jones, with the collaboration of a number of workshop participants.
