Ciarán O'Doherty
Ciarán O'Doherty (born 1 March 1988) is an Irish hurler. At club level he plays with Crusheen, while he has also lined out at inter-county level with various Clare teams. Career O'Doherty first played hurling to a high standard as a student at St. Flannan's College in Ennis. He was a member of the Flannan's team that beat Thurles CBS to win the Harty Cup title in 2005, before later defeating St Kieran's College to claim All-Ireland honours. O'Doherty later lined out at adult club level with Crusheen and won back-to-back Clare SHC titles in 2010 and 2011. He was also part of the Crusheen team defeated by Na Piarsaigh in the 2011 Munster club final. O'Doherty first appeared on the inter-county scene with Clare during a two-year tenure with the minor team in 2005 and 2006. Crusheen GAA
Crusheen GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Crusheen, County Clare, Ireland. The club is almost exclusively concerned with the game of hurling. In October 2010, Crusheen became Clare hurling champions for the first time in their 123-year history with a 2–13 to 1–11 win against Cratloe. In their first ever Munster Club Championship, they were defeated by Kilmallock in the quarter-final by 0–14 to 2–11 In October 2011, Crusheen retained their county title after defeating Sixmilebridge at a waterlogged Cusack Park. In November 2011, Crusheen played in their first ever Munster Senior Club Hurling Final against Na Piarsaigh from Limerick, the match finishing in a 0–14 to 1–11 draw. All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship
The GAA Hurling Under-20 All-Ireland Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the oneills.com GAA Hurling Under-20 All-Ireland Championship) is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition for male players between the ages of 17 and 20 in Ireland. The championship was contested as the All-Ireland Under-21 Championship between 1964 and 2018 before changing to an under-20 age category from 2019. The final, currently held on the first Sunday in June, serves as the culmination of a series of games played during the summer months, and the results determine which team receives the James Nowlan Cup. Crusheen Hurlers
Crusheen () is a small village in County Clare, Ireland, in the civil parish of Crusheen (Inchicronan). Location The village is 10 kilometres northeast of Ennis on the R458 road to Gort. It is in the parish of Crusheen (Inchicronan) in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Killaloe. The parish church of St Cronan is in Crusheen. Pádraic Maher (born 9 February 1989) is an Irish former Hurling, hurler who previously played for Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship, Tipperary Senior Championship club Thurles Sarsfields GAA, Thurles Sarsfields and at inter-county level with the Tipperary senior hurling team. He usually lined out as a centre-back. Playing career Thurles CBS Maher first came to prominence as a hurler with Thurles CBS. James Dowling (hurler)
Sir James Dowling (25 November 1787 – 27 September 1844) was an English-born Australian jurist in New South Wales, Chief Justice of New South Wales 1837 – 1844. Early life James Dowling was born in London, England, the son of Vincent Dowling (1756–1825) of Queen's County, Ireland, and brother of Alfred Septimus Dowling (1805–1868), a British law reporter, Vincent George Dowling, & 2 other brothers. Educated at St Paul's School, he later became a parliamentary reporter, studied law and was called to the bar at the Middle Temple in May 1815. He edited the second edition of W. Paley's ''Law and Practice of Summary Convictions'', and was also responsible for several volumes of ''Reports of Cases''. John Conlon
John Conlon (born 23 January 1989) is an Irish hurler who plays for Clare Senior Championship club Clonlara. He usually lined out as a full-forward until 2020, when he became Clare's first choice for centre back. Playing career St. Flannan's College Conlon played in all grades of hurling with St. Flannan's College in Ennis before progressing onto the college's senior team. On 12 March 2006, he was introduced as a substitute when St. Flannan's College suffered a 2–08 to 0–12 defeat by Midleton CBS Secondary School in the Harty Cup final. Conor Cooney (born 16 June 1987) is an Irish hurler. At club level he plays with O'Callaghan's Mills, while he has also lined out at inter-county level with various Clare teams. Career Cooney first played hurling at juvenile and underage levels with the O'Callaghan's Mills club. He subsequently progressed to adult level, but enjoyed little success during his career. Cooney first appeared on the inter-county scene with Clare during a one-year tenure with the minor team in 2005. He was later drafted onto the under-21 team and captained the team to a controversial defeat by Tipperary in the 2008 Munster final. Cooney made the step up the senior team in 2009. The 2016 National Hurling League was the 85th season of the National Hurling League for Inter county, inter-county hurling teams since its establishment in 1925. The fixtures were announced on 16 November 2015. The season began on 13 February 2016, and finished on 8 May 2016.
