Chrast
Chrast () is a town in Chrudim District in the Pardubice Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 3,200 inhabitants. The historic centre with the castle complex is well preserved and is protected as an urban monument zone. Chrást (Nymburk District)
Chrást (until 1947 Manderšejd-Chrást; ) is a municipality and village in Nymburk District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 500 inhabitants. Etymology The name Chrást is a common Czech place name, meaning 'brushwood' or 'shrubs'. Geography Chrást is located about southwest of Nymburk and east of Prague. It lies in the Central Elbe Table. The highest point is a nameless hill at above sea level. History The first written mention of Chrást is from 1345. In 1599, the locality belonged to the Kounice estate and was described as abandoned. In 1776, the village was re-established by Prince Franz Joseph I of Liechtenstein. Near Chrást, a new village was founded by Prince Aloys I of Liechtenstein and named Manderšejd after his wife, Princess Karoline of Manderscheid-Blankenheim. Chrást is a municipality and village in Plzeň-City District in the Plzeň Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,900 inhabitants. Etymology The name Chrást is a common Czech place name, meaning 'brushwood' or 'shrubs'. Geography Chrást is located about northeast of Plzeň. It lies in the Plasy Uplands.
