Christopher Skinner
Christopher McLean Skinner (born June 4, 1972) is an American mathematician working in number theory and arithmetic aspects of the Langlands program. He specialises in algebraic number theory. Skinner was a Packard Foundation Fellow from 2001 to 2006, and was named an inaugural fellow of the American Mathematical Society in 2013. In 2015, he was named a Simons Investigator in Mathematics. He was an invited speaker at the International Congress of Mathematicians in Madrid in 2006. Career Skinner graduated from the University of Michigan in 1993. After completing his PhD with Andrew Wiles in 1997, he moved to the University of Michigan as an assistant professor. Since 2006, he has been a Professor of Mathematics at the Princeton University. In joint work with Andrew Wiles, Skinner proved modularity results for residually reducible Galois representations. Wei Zhang (; born 1981) is a Chinese mathematician specializing in number theory. He is currently a Professor of Mathematics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Education Zhang grew up in Sichuan province in China and attended Chengdu No.7 High School. He earned his B.S. in Mathematics from Peking University in 2004 and his Ph.D. from Columbia University in 2009 under the supervision of Shou-Wu Zhang. Career Zhang was a postdoctoral researcher and Benjamin Peirce Fellow at Harvard University from 2009 to 2011. He was a member of the mathematics faculty at Columbia University from 2011 to 2017, initially as an assistant professor before becoming a full professor in 2015. Manjul Bhargava
Manjul Bhargava (born 8 August 1974) is a Canadian-American mathematician. He is the Brandon Fradd, Class of 1983, Professor of Mathematics at Princeton University, the Stieltjes Professor of Number Theory at Leiden University, and also holds Adjunct Professorships at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, and the University of Hyderabad. In mathematics, the Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer conjecture (often called the Birch–Swinnerton-Dyer conjecture) describes the set of rational solutions to equations defining an elliptic curve. It is an open problem in the field of number theory and is widely recognized as one of the most challenging mathematical problems. Victor Kolyvagin
Victor Alexandrovich Kolyvagin (russian: Виктор Александрович Колывагин, born 11 March, 1955) is a Russian mathematician who wrote a series of papers on Euler systems, leading to breakthroughs on the Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer conjecture, and Iwasawa's conjecture for cyclotomic fields. His work also influenced Andrew Wiles's work on Fermat's Last Theorem. Career Kolyvagin received his Ph.D. in Mathematics in 1981 from Moscow State University, where his advisor was Yuri I. Manin. Don Bernard Zagier (born 29 June 1951) is an American-German mathematician whose main area of work is number theory. He is currently one of the directors of the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in Bonn, Germany. He was a professor at the ''Collège de France'' in Paris from 2006 to 2014.
