Christopher Charles Eric Woods (born 14 November 1959) is an English football coach and former professional footballer, who is goalkeeping coach for the Scotland national team. As a player, he was a goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper who played in the Football League and Premier League for Nottingham Forest F.C., Nottingham Forest, Queens Park Rangers F.C., Queens Park Rangers, Norwich City F.C., Norwich City, Sheffield Wednesday F.C., Sheffield Wednesday, Reading F.C., Reading, Southampton F.C., Southampton and Burnley F.C., Burnley. He also played in the Scottish Football League for Rangers F.C., Rangers and in Major League Soccer for the Colorado Rapids. Christopher Woods is an American football coach. He is the linebackers coach for the Ohio Bobcats The Ohio Bobcats are the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) NCAA Division I, Division I Intercollegiate athletic teams that represent Ohio University, located in Athens, Ohio, United States. Ohio University is a charter member (1946 .... Prior to that was the linebackers coach for the Arlington Renegades of the United Football League (2024), United Football League (UFL) and the defensive coordinator for the Dallas Renegades of the newly-formed XFL (2020), XFL. Wood served as the head football coach at Mansfield University of Pennsylvania from 2001 to 2003 and Stonehill College from 2004 to 2006. Christopher Wyatt Woods (born July 19, 1962) is an American former professional football wide receiver who played three seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the Los Angeles Raiders and Denver Broncos. He played college football at Auburn University. Woods also played for the Edmonton Eskimos and Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Early life and college Christopher Wyatt Woods was born on July 19, 1962, in Birmingham, Alabama. He attended A. H. Parker High School in Birmingham. Woods was a four-year letterman for the Auburn Tigers of Auburn University from 1980 to 1983. He caught three passes for 26 yards as a freshman in 1980. In 1981, he recorded 13 receptions for 213 yards and one touchdown, seven carries for 72 yards, and 11 punt returns for 60 yards. Chris Woods, born in Sussex, is a British fingerstyle guitarist whose playing features extended techniques. Woods is also a composer, educator and author of ''Percussive Acoustic Guitar''. Recording as ‘The Chris Woods Groove Orchestra’ and ‘Chris Woods Groove’. Playing style Woods’ playing is characterised by the use of contemporary and extended guitar techniques, including; alternative tunings, tapping and guitar percussion. His technique was developed whilst experimenting at university with solo Jazz guitar playing as well as taking influence from artists such as John Martyn. Releasing music at the time of the ‘youtube percussive acoustic guitar boom’ he featured in the documentary ‘Acoustic Uprising’ which explored the percussive guitar boom phenomenon. Woods uses a stomp box, to create an accompanying beat to his music. Chris Woods (December 25, 1925, Memphis, Tennessee – July 4, 1985, New York City) was an American jazz alto saxophonist. Woods played locally in Memphis early in his career before moving to St. Louis to play with the Jeter-Pillars Orchestra and trumpeter George Hudson. He then joined Tommy Dean's combo, recording with them for Town and Country, Miracle, and States. Striking out on his own, he first recorded as a leader in 1953 for United Records. In 1962 he moved to New York, where he played with Dizzy Gillespie, Clark Terry, Sy Oliver, and Ted Curson. He continued working with Terry into the 1970s, playing flute at times in his Big Bad Band. Jim McNeely played as a sideman on his 1978 release for Delmark Records. In 1983 he began playing in the Count Basie Orchestra, where he worked until his death in 1985.
