Christopher Walton Cooper (born July 9, 1951) is an American actor. Having made his debut as a stage actor, he made his breakthrough on television as Sheriff July Johnson in the acclaimed Western television miniseries '' Lonesome Dove'' (1989). Robert Philip Hanssen (April 18, 1944 – June 5, 2023) was an American Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agent who spied for Soviet and Russian intelligence services against the United States periodically from 1979 to 2001. His espionage was described by the U.S. Department of Justice as "possibly the worst intelligence disaster in U.S. history". The Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor is an award presented annually by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS).
